First, we kill many of you. Then, things gets better.

I do not think you are who you think you are

“How would Lincoln vote in the 2012 election?” The right Reverend Michael Bresciani blogs this at Renew America. It is something he’d like to know. Not really, oh gee, the title’s a ruse. Michael already knows all about the Gentle Man with the Terrycloth Hands from the days when Folks Sat Around Playing Solitaire In Chains.

Any normal school student could research and find the heart of the Lincoln administration and of Lincoln himself, in very short time . . Only a cursory comparison of Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama would force any discerning mind to a singular conclusion. One President was the great unifier and the other is the great divider.

I am no expert on Abraham Lincoln. I am hesitant to criticize. But there’s just, well, something about Michael’s argument. Something out of kilter. What is it?

Barack Obama has managed to set brother against brother, women against men and the rich against the poor.

Not sure what it is. Maybe you guys can see it. The devil if I can figure it out.

He has, with the help of the democratically controlled senate and Harry Reid managed to pit the senate against the congress. He has strangled bi-partisan political cooperation to the point of death.

…strange-looking president. Perfect opposition. Howls of victimization. Hysterical rage…

Creating warfare among citizen groups, sectors and individuals has been the hallmark of Barack Obama’s administration. This is hard to understand in view of the fact Obama has stated both that he would like to be a president like Lincoln . .

NOPE. There it goes, lost it. Damn. It was, like, right there and then it was *poof*.

How did you know I love bad movies and self-righteous assholery? and this guy is practically a one-man catalog of religious insanity. He’s Plan 9 from Jesus. Did you know his website “americanprophet.org” is stupid enough to allow access to his “prophecies” all the back to 2005? http://www.americanprophet.org/SpecialMessagesandforecastsRevMichaelBrescianicolumnistAmericanProphet.htm

But there was no Kenyan Usurper then. This is from Dec. 2008:

“I can safely say not as a prediction but as a prophetic surety that his administration will not end without the greatest economic downturn in our history as a nation. In the end it will make the stock market crash of 1929 look like a boom time.

Trusted financial institutions will fold like a house of cards and the Fed will be helpless to save them. Consumer goods will start to disappear and gasoline will be the least of our problems. These things will begin in late 2009 and will take a few years to unfold entirely.”

It would be irresponsible not to be paralyzed with fear.

Indeed. The fact that the right’s religious Prophets of Destruction seem inexhaustible points to a certainty: conservatives feel important when they’re told that the world has entered a cycle of doom. That they are always at the center of it all is remarkable bad/good luck. That the world never ends is immaterial.

This article wasn’t about prophecy just one good president and one lousy one.

My prophecies go back over forty years not just to 2005.

World hasn’t ended yet, hang on there is still time.

“My prophecies go back over forty years not just to 2005.”

And you are always wrong. Any decent human being would apologize and then retire from public life.

Rev, Thanks for dropping by. I hope you don’t run away like all the others. I’d like to ask you to clear up a couple of theological points I’m struggling with.

Here’s one: “World hasn’t ended yet, hang on there is still time.”

As a certified eschatologist, it appears you are trying to forestall the End Times. Why? Aren’t you mucking with God’s Perfect Plan?

The other day I had a vision .. the words “Ezekiel 16:49″ appeared through the power of the Holy Spirit. What could this mean? I’ve never heard a sermon where this passage was addressed hermeneutically.

Also, the English translations of the Bible uses the word “iniquity” as practically a synonym for sin. What is this “iniquity?”

How’s your Greek? I have a couple of other translation questions for you if you can find the time.
