There once was a ‘larming ole’ scribbler…

As a bottle of Hendrick’s Bulgarian-rose and cucumber gin sat in the freezer.

This afternoon there’s nothing to do but snow haiku. My attempts at 5, 7, 5:

Dame Peggington with her weather poetry. Oh no.

Full fat flake fell far
To sleep on the rude pavement.
Grraaawwwr. The shovel. Run!

Snowflake: distinctive,
Unique. Liquefies, blends. A
Loss, but less lonely

Oh my god. Make it stop.

All New York today
Is slush. Slip, fall, “Have a hand!”
We shyly love mess

Please kill me, now. Quite.
Seriously this minute.
I don’t want to live.
