Jonah Goldberg now with easy cynical pour spout

There are more veterans than there are doctors or therapeutic programs at VA facilities and this has led to dreadful delays in treatment. While the government has scrambled to address the problem too many people are still suffering needlessly. According to Jonah Goldberg there’s a problem with that – roughly:

1.) Obamacare sucks.
2.) The economy too.

Apart from those revelations, or relevations, there’s what he ultimately decides to be the real problem. The notoriety is killing liberals.

Why? Because the Democratic party simply is the party of government.

Now friends I would say that no matter who’s in charge of the government attending to the needs of veterans is of paramount importance. But Jonah’s saying that the failure to do so is only sometimes a scandal. It’s a disgrace whenever the Democrats are responsible:

It is the party that insists on the nobility, efficacy and intellectual superiority of government. The VA is at the intersection of all the things liberals insist are wise and good and just about government.

Remember: taking care of soldiers and Marines is something the bleeding hearts want to do. They’ve even said it publicly. This argument if I can translate from the Goldbergian amounts to: Nyah-nyah.

It is government-run healthcare. It is the tangible fulfillment of a sacred obligation the government has with those who’ve sacrificed most for our nation.

He has a funny way of calling us stupid. Maybe it’s something we can learn to live with.

Jonah doesn’t have to worry about not getting VA benefits for injuries suffered during his Military Service.

As for why my sorry a** isn’t in the kill zone, lots of people think this is a searingly pertinent question. No answer I could give — I’m 35 years old, my family couldn’t afford the lost income, I have a baby daughter, my a** is, er, sorry, are a few — ever seem to suffice. Jonah explains why he’s a Proud Chicken Hawk.

That’s an actual Goldberg quote? It is. What an ass. This amounts to criticizing others for not being able to clean up your own bloody mess.

It’s telling that Jonah Goldberg is such a star in Right-Wing world. On 12/12/2007, Goldberg infamously was the featured speaker for a lecture at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, entitled All I am Saying is Give War a Chance. It’s stated goal being:

Join the UMass Republican Club for yet another lively and edifying political discussion on the costs, necessities, consequences, and benefits of war. A question and answer session will be administered after the initial lecture.

The costs of War being borne by others and the benefits accruing for conservative chicken hawks. Jonah is a a full of hog-shit conservative dilettante who inherited his position as a “professional commentator” from his mommy.

Don’t forget: He’s enormously popular. As witless and charmless a vegetable as he is, he’s a roaring success among the people he deigns to rouse and cajole. Proof to me that it’s less over there about talent and more about appearing to be some sort of authority figure.
