“Remix” is a horse that is unlike any other we’ve had in our program. He is the most kind, caring, gentle, and well-rounded individual we’ve had the opportunity to work with to date. Wrapped up in a gorgeous champagne coat, this cream draft cross is one of the rarest horses you can find. Standing 16 hands and in the prime of his life at 8 years old, this gelding is the perfect candidate to make somebody’s next forever horse. “Remix” has been the heartbeat of our program and he’s been put through every test you can imagine. He’s great with traffic, tarps, kids, loud noises, and stays gentle with time off. His solid mind and calm demeanor are what has given us the confidence to entrust him with novice riders both in and outside of the arena. We purchased him from the family that raised him and used him on their ranch in Utah where he experienced every aspect of ranch work. He’s been roped off of, used at brandings, covered rocky terrain, ponied colts, and worked cattle. Hard work doesn’t phase him and neither does the world beyond the borders of an arena. If you’re looking for a seasoned trail riding mount “Remix” is as experienced as you could hope for one to be. As far as riding in the arena, he is equally as broke. Don’t let his size fool you; he can lope out of his tracks and rides around in the palm of your hand just like a smaller quarter horse. He’s got smooth transitions, picks up both leads, rolls around his hocks, stops correct, and neck reins with ease. He is trained to work off of both your hands and legs and we have even started him over fences which he has loved! Although big bodied it does not hinder his ability to be athletic. If you’re of smaller stature and are concerned about his size, have no fear because he is also trained to lay down on command for easy mounting if there are times that you don’t have access to a mounting block.
