Rush Limbaugh’s limb-hacking child-fucking Christian death squad

*holes, klassy khristians, violence monger, wingnuts, wow, yikes

President Obama:

Letter from the President to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate Regarding the Lord’s Resistance Army
For Immediate Release | October 14, 2011

For more than two decades, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) has murdered, raped, and kidnapped tens of thousands of men, women, and children in central Africa. The LRA continues to commit atrocities across the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan that have a disproportionate impact on regional security . .

I believe that deploying these U.S. Armed Forces furthers U.S. national security interests and foreign policy and will be a significant contribution toward counter LRA efforts in central Africa.

Rush Limbaugh:

Obama Invades Uganda, Targets Christians
Rush Limbaugh Show | October 14, 2011

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Lord’s Resistance Army are Christians. They are fighting the Muslims in Sudan. And Obama has sent troops, United States troops to remove them from the battlefield, which means kill them. That’s what the lingo means, “to help regional forces remove from the battlefield,” meaning capture or kill.

So that’s a new war, a hundred troops to wipe out Christians in Sudan, Uganda, and — (interruption) no, I’m not kidding. Jacob Tapper just reported it. Now, are we gonna help the Egyptians wipe out the Christians? Wouldn’t you say that we are? I mean the Coptic Christians are being wiped out, but it wasn’t just Obama that supported that. The conservative intelligentsia thought it was an outbreak of democracy. Now they’ve done a 180 on that, but they forgot that they supported it in the first place. Now they’re criticizing it.

Lord’s Resistance Army objectives. I have them here. “To remove dictatorship and stop the oppression of our people.” Now, again Lord’s Resistance Army is who Obama sent troops to help nations wipe out. The objectives of the Lord’s Resistance Army, what they’re trying to accomplish with their military action in these countries is the following . .

What a surprise. Rush Limbaugh does like black people. Is there no bigger scumbag in American media than Rushbo? Has there ever been a more disgusting celebrity? Words fail to reconcile Rush’s popularity with his evil soul.

The Lord’s Resistance Army are a machete-wielding death and rape squad. They have killed thousands. Witness the victims of the poor, put-upon ‘Christians’ Rush Limbaugh is such a public fan of:

If Keith Olbermann took to the airwaves to tell you how misunderstood these monsters were, he’d get tarred and feathered. Rush Limbaugh will surely get a first-class ticket to Oklahoma City and a weepy embrace.

Reverend Bresciani, drunkblogger

gays, klassy khristians

Every once in a while, I look over the Renew America website. It’s an internet destination for angry right-wing Christians. Between all the misspellings, syntax errors, and commas used for mumble markers, there’s some wicked comedy.

But there’s very rarely a drunken post. These Christians are a bodily, not mentally, sober lot. So how to explain Michael Bresciani’s last screed? It’s incoherent.

Obama rebukes GOP for snubbing gay serviceman? – High level hypocrisy
By Michael Bresciani

. . In the case of Obama’s indignant public reproof of the republicans at the recent GOP debate in Orlando on September 22, 2011, three points and one sad conclusion are all that’s needed.

Mr. Obama said “We don’t believe in the kind of smallness that says it’s OK for a stage full of political leaders — one of whom could end up being the President of the United States — being silent when an American soldier is booed.” The rebuke was leveled at a Human Rights Campaign annual dinner in Washington which was attended by gays, lesbians and their supporters.

He didn’t rebuke the Human Rights Campaign, obviously. I hope this isn’t your first point, Michael. But go on:

A far more angry and animated rebuke was leveled at the GOP which brought applause and cheers from his supporters when Mr. Obama said, “We don’t believe in the kind of smallness that says it’s OK for a stage full of political leaders — one of whom could end up being the President of the United States — being silent when an American soldier is booed.”

?? How many times did the president say it? You’re nitpicking on the second one, really. Maybe it was the inflection. “. . when an American soldier is BOOED.” “That tears it” Michael thought. Or “THAT tears it.” He despised Humbert Humbert, bristled at Duran Duran.

Brewsciani takes another slug of sacramental Coors and points out that Obama isn’t Commander in Chief, the alien jerk. That makes him a giant hypocrite, err, somehow. He wouldn’t even bring his obviously fake birth certificate to court. Look what that cowardice did to a certain wingnut colonel:

Col. Lakin got no justice but only a speedy one way trip on the Obama I don’t care railroad to Leavenworth penitentiary.

Why didn’t the president save this guy? I don’t know.

In conclusion, it has never been proven that the gay serviceman was actually booed at the debate.

Let’s leave that to science, shall we? Whether booing actually occurred is mysterious as particle spin coupling, so let’s not inject politics. Right. We’re agreed. Now, I’d like to make my final comments in Jabberwock. Pray’t please the brillig:

. . Additionally if he was ignored it could be that even that could be called discretion for a group of Americans who for the most part because they are on the right, continue to hold to the scriptural belief that homosexuality is a sin of perversion and the promulgation or promoting of it can make them guilty, culpable or complicit by association.

SNAP asks the ICC to prosecute the Pope for crimes against humanity

conspiracies, crime, disgusting, klassy khristians

Thousands upon thousands of incidents of child rape and molestation perpetrated across the globe. Decades, if not centuries, of the Catholic Church shielding priests from prosecutions. Shuffling deviant criminals from diocese to diocese to hide them from public exposure. Enabling the criminals to rape and molest again.

Sound like crimes against humanity to you? It sure does to me. The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) filed the claim:

An international group for victims of sexual abuse by Catholic priests has asked the International Criminal Court to prosecute Pope Benedict XVI and three other senior Vatican officials for crimes against humanity . .

They called on the court “take action and prosecute the Pope and three other high-ranking Vatican officials for their direct and superior responsibility for the crimes against humanity of rape and other sexual violence committed around the world”.

This is a legal effort to be applauded. The crimes committed by trusted members of the clergy amount to unqualified evil. The victims are the most fragile, most vulnerable members of society. The children and teens are citizens of essentially every country in which the Catholic Church operates. And Vatican officials not only refused to stop it from occurring and to stop it from re-occurring, they acted directly to allow it to continue. What else do we need to know?

“Crimes against tens of thousands of victims, most of them children, are being covered up by officials at the highest level of the Vatican . . The Vatican officials charged in this case are responsible for rape and other sexual violence and for the physical and psychological torture of victims around the world both through command responsibility and through direct cover up of crimes. They should be brought to trial like any other officials guilty of crimes against humanity.”

Simple as that. Look at the crimes committed and the actions taken by the church, and this is clearly a case worthy of The Hague’s attention. And if you think Pope Benedict didn’t do anything wrong, think again.

Reverend Stephen Kiesle tied up and molested two boys in a church rectory in 1978. He was caught, tried and convicted. When Kiesle himself asked to be removed from the church, the Vatican did nothing, effectively retaining him as a priest. When California church officials pressed the Vatican on Kiesle, their highest “morals” official, the future pope, Cardinal Ratzinger, intervened:

This court, although it regards the arguments presented in favour of removal in this case to be of grave significance, nevertheless deems it necessary to consider the good of the Universal Church together with that of the petitioner, and it is also unable to make light of the detriment that granting the dispensation can provoke with the community of Christ’s faithful, particularly regarding the young age of the petitioner.

For the good of Ratzinger’s church, Kiesle must stay. He wasn’t ejected from the priesthood until 1987. He’s in prison today, for child molestation.

“He admitted molesting many children and bragged that he was the Pied Piper and said he tried to molest every child that sat on his lap,” said Lewis VanBlois, an attorney for six Kiesle victims who interviewed the former priest in prison. “When asked how many children he had molested over the years, he said ‘tons.”‘

Fundamentalist Muslims, Christians, all the same to me

*holes, christianists, klassy khristians, tragedy

Muslims. Idiots. Crazies. Sand snotters. Gosh, how to hide your joy when you’re face-to-face with a bug-eyed Islamist? Quote the inimitable Abu Ibrahim:

“Allah has struck New York and the capital city Washington by an earthquake as a punishment for their disbelief.

“Such a little earthquake that measured 6.0 has terrified the tyrant American people and forced them to leave their houses and places of work . . ”

Unbelievable. Who does this Ibrahim think he is? Some all-knowing Ayatollah? Say ‘hello’ to Allah’s best pal, everybody. You gotta be some kinda asshole to think you know why an earthquake happens. Medieval motherfucker.

. . conservative blogger Joseph Farah insisted the quake was more than a naturally-occurring tectonic shift. The WorldNetDaily publisher wrote that instead, the 5.8 magnitude earthquake was a sign from God that D.C. politics must change, a sign amplified by the one-two punch of the earthquake and the approaching hurricane Irene.

“Occasionally God really does shake things up as a sign to us of the consequences of disobedience and indifference to our Creator,” Farah wrote in his op-ed.

Well, Joseph’s a good man (Jesus too). He’s right, we should pay closer attention to our Creator. Listen to him. Couldn’t hurt, right? I’m tired of all the overheated politics and arguing anyway, Lord. I’m going to get back to being real. It’s time for sanity.

“[T]his earthquake is a warning to the crusaders to stop their infidel policy, abandon their crusader religion and convert to the true Islamic religion,” Ibrahim explained. “If they don’t listen and don’t stop, Allah will strike them again by an earthquake or a hurricane. You have no other way but to repent and move away from your path that will take you to the abyss.”

Fucking Muslims. Why don’t you go back to the 15th century, Abu? Don’t forget to take your goats-bladder iPad and convertible camel with you. Galileo called, he said, “See you in the next millenium, Hassan.” You people are cavemen.

. . the Second Coming of Christ is near! Just ask the Reverend Pat Robertson . . He said the disaster “means that we’re closer to the coming of the Lord” . .

“It seems to me the Washington Monument is a symbol of America’s power. It has been the symbol of our great nation. We look at the symbol and we say ‘this is one nation under God.’ Now there’s a crack in it … Is that a sign from the Lord? …

You know, this sort of thing really makes me wonder. C’mon, a D.C. earthquake? And now the Washington Monument’s got a crack in it — that’s freaky. That’s CHILL BUMPS, brother. Message time, friend. And, hey, Pat Robertson’s a man of God.

Senior Kuwaiti Official: “Katrina is a Wind of Torment and Evil from Allah Sent to This American Empire”

“Oh honored gentlemen, I began to read about these winds, and I was surprised to discover that the American websites that are translated are talking about the fact that that the storm Katrina is the fifth equatorial storm to strike Florida this year…

“. . I opened the Koran and began to read in Surat Al-R’ad, and stopped at these words: ‘The disaster will keep striking the unbelievers for what they have done, or it will strike areas close to their territory, until the promise of Allah comes to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise. ‘

God damn this Shurizz A-Rad-Turban, or whatever. Placing his stupid, smelly religion at the center of all our suffering. Talking about the deaths of people he doesn’t even know! How could anybody be so arrogant? I guess Allah’s a big fan of assholes. Typical. Fucking. Muslim. Go live in a desert, tent monkey. Have fun digging for water, Akbar. Go to hell, pal.

Rick Perry’s motherfucking class and charm

2012 campaign, bush league, klassy khristians, republicans

Dug this one up from between the internet sofa cushions. Back in 2005, reporter Ted Olberg from Houston’s KTRK attempted to interview Governor Rick Perry about his evolving education policy. Refusing to reveal his newest proposals, the Governor tells Ted he’ll just have to wait to get the details.

And then, thinking the feed dead, Perry flashes his Texas-sized wit.

When you’re a big powerful Governor from a big powerful state, local TV faggots gotta learn to deal with your horseshit charm. That’s just the God’s honest truth. Call it ‘Texas’ if you like. It’s really George W. Bush, all the way.

Dear God: Please destroy every single Conservative

In Independence Day Prayer, Rep. Broun Compares Progressives To Terrorists Who “Want To Destroy Us”
July 05, 2011 — Matt Finkelstein

. . There are those who wish to destroy the U.S., Broun said, citing radical Islam and “progressives.”

“Father, there are many who want to destroy us from outside this nation,” Broun said. “Folks like al-Qaeda and the radical Islamists. But there are folks that want to destroy us from inside, the progressives and the socialists, who want to make this nation a nation that’s no longer under you, under God, but a nation that’s ruled by man.”

Paul Broun’s God rules this country? Why does he want so many abortions? Maybe your God’s a woman, Paul.

Anyway, I was wondering what it would be like if we participated in the same sort of demonizing that Paul and his buddies engage in, but of the Republicans. That might be fun.

I wonder if we could come up with something that would bug them. Knowing how easily they get upset, I bet it could be done.

Mmm, how about this:

“Father, there are many who want to destroy us from outside this nation. But there are many more who seek to destroy us from inside. And we know this to be true because they’ve been bragging about destroying us for years. Father, they call themselves ‘Conservatives.’

“They bragged about protecting Americans. But they delivered thousands of citizens into harm’s way, practically gift-wrapped for our enemies to shoot or blow up as they pleased. 5,000 have died so far, and many, many times that are permanently injured. Many more can no longer sleep, or think.

“They bragged about bringing a ‘culture of life’ to politics. But as a massive hurricane tore apart the Gulf Coast, they did nothing as people died. In the aftermath, as TV cameras rolled and reporters documented the thirst, starvation and drowning of still more, they still did nothing. When finally embarrassed into action, they congratulated each other on their caring and wisdom. Hundreds died. Many more thousands abandoned their homes, never to return.

“They bragged about their gospel of universal prosperity. But after they cheered on the smallest contingent of Americans, the rich, to take reckless risks with a common property, the economy, it completely collapsed. Millions became unemployed, millions more saw their hard-earned wealth evaporate. Jobs were lost, careers destroyed, relationships broken apart, families scattered to the wind. People died from stress, others committed suicide. We see many people living in tents now, or on the streets.

“You, above all others, know how bad things can get. So, Father, hear us as we tell you: we continue to suffer from the plagues cast upon us. Meanwhile, in their wanton destruction and loss of life, the guilty exult. We’re beginning to suspect it’s at our expense.

“So, we humbly beseech of thee, this: God, source of all rational thought, revelator of the sacred common good, font of kindness and compassion, please kill our Conservatives before they kill your America. There’s only one, after all.

“Amen.”

That might do it.

Watergate felon Charles Colson: converted Christian, but pretty much the same

crime, gays, hypocrisy, klassy khristians

Don’t you love it when jailbirds lecture you about right and wrong? Tell me more, Watergate felon Charles Colson. Remind me how people should do the right thing or bad things will happen.

Perversion of Democracy
Gay ‘Marriage’ and The Law
Chuck Colson | May 12, 2011

. . I think I may have underestimated the threat, because now I fear the democratic process and the rule of law are endangered as well . .

That is pathetic. And funny.

An Unexpected Totalitarianism
The Tyranny of Tolerance
By Chuck Colson | June 27, 2011

. . I’ve thought of another way democracy can slide into totalitarianism—the moral foundations of society erode so badly that the people become malleable. They embrace relativism, as we have in America today; they no longer believe in right and wrong.

Is Chuck really any different than he used to be back in the 1970s? He supposedly underwent a whopping religious conversion, so he’s no longer the criminal he used to be.

Chuck was one of the Watergate Seven, the guys who covered up the Watergate break-in. He was so rotten a Nixon operative, he was known as the ‘hatchet man.’ He admits he was “valuable to the President … because I was willing … to be ruthless in getting things done.” The Colson most Americans remember never gave a rat’s ass about right and wrong.

So I find it brain-bending he’s obsessed with morality now. It makes me wonder if the Christian Colson isn’t just the old slash-and-burner with a coat of Jesus paint. Y’know, this guy, just grown older and more Biblical: “Colson also proposed firebombing the Brookings Institution and stealing politically damaging documents while firefighters put the fire out.”

The more I dig up on Colson, the more I question. He converted to evangelical Christianity while he was being prosecuted for the Watergate cover-up. So, given the perfect opportunity, did the new Christian Chuck decide to come clean? Did he relieve the nation of their considerable pains and confusion about the administration’s deep criminality? Did his penitent honesty shock America into remaking the government?

Hardly. The new Colson only offered the prosecutor a plea to, until then, a non-crime. He admitted that he’d obtained Daniel Ellsberg’s FBI file and leaked it in order to destroy him (the information never saw the light of day). Amazingly, the judge accepted the confession, and any further prosecution of Colson ceased. He did 7 months time in Maxwell prison.

To his credit, after experiencing the penitentiary system first hand, he decided to do something about it. Read David Plotz’ coverage of Colson’s subsequent good works here. But let’s pay notice to the writer’s question:

Through decades of service to the needy, Colson has made himself one of America’s greatest Christian leaders. Why would he tarnish that by becoming just another Gary Bauer?

So, I wonder. Maybe he’s the same angry right-winger bent on picking and choosing what’s right depending upon who his current enemies are. Six years ago, commenting on the revelation that the FBI’s second in command, Mark Felt, was Deep Throat — the man who brought down Nixon’s administration, and Colson, too — Colson reacted this way:

Colson expressed disapproval in Felt’s role in the Watergate scandal, first in the context of Felt being an FBI employee who should have known better than to disclose the results of a government investigation to the press (violating a fundamental tenet of FBI culture), and second in the context of the trust placed in him (which demanded a more active response, such as a face-to-face confrontation with the FBI director or Nixon or, had that failed, public resignation).

Wow. It’s as if Charles Colson couldn’t appreciate that, if Felt had blithely tried to bring the jaw-dropping corruption to light by internal means, the effort would have necessitated the appearance of Nixon’s hatchet man — Charles Colson — to destroy Felt personally and professionally. Lord, Chuck.

And if you buy Colson’s ‘I implore others to do the right thing’ schtick, try this on for size. In 2009, he declared he would no longer abide a whole slew of your laws:

Because we honor justice and the common good, we will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages . .

BTW, after admitting he did his best to destroy Daniel Ellsberg by releasing his trumped-up, fully-appointed with geh sex FBI file to a reporter, did Chuck ever apologize to Ellsberg? That would be the Christian thing to do. For the life of me, I can’t find an apology.

Heavy metal pastor delivers nasty Minnesota House prayer, kills same-sex marriage ban

christianists, ffail, gays, klassy khristians

It couldn’t happen to a dumber bunch of bigots.

Bradlee Dean is a heavy metal drummer and founder of YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CANNOT HIDE INTERNATIONAL Christian ministry (his caps). He sums up his musical glories on his website:

Bradlee Dean is also drummer for the second-best unsigned band in the nation called JUNKYARD PROPHET, whose music videos have reached 111 million households four times over internationally and debuted on JCTV as 3rd in the United States . . Bradlee is endorsed by world-class companies such as Sonor, Buttkickers, Beatnik (including his own signature drum pad), Hornet Drumsticks (including his own signature sticks), and Soultone Cymbals.

The magazine Heaven’s Metal voted Junkyard Prophet #2 in the awesome year of 1996. So Bradlee is the real and lingering thing.

Bradlee is obsessed with the gays.

He’s argued that homosexuality is not only immoral, but actually a federal crime. When President Obama nominated Sharon Lubinski, who is openly gay, to be a US Marshal in 2010, Dean argued that Obama had acted illegally because “homosexuality is against the law in the United States” . .

On his radio show, he’s alleged that gays were responsible for the Holocaust, and that gay men will, on average, molest 117 people “before they’re found out.” He’s also suggested that extremist Muslims who call for the execution of American gays are morally justified. “If America won’t enforce the laws, God will raise up a foreign enemy to do just that,” Dean explained. “[Homosexuals] play the victim when they are, in fact, the predator.” He has since clarified that he does not support executing gays, and that his remarks were intended as a brotherly warning to gays to change their ways.

Maybe that’s why the Republican fools in the Minnesota House of Representatives invited Pastor Pony Tail to begin their session with a prayer mere days or hours before offering to amend their constitution to outlaw gay marriage. The track-suited Bradlee delivered a corker, calling President Obama a Jesus hater (2:45):

Now all hell’s broken loose.

Once Dean finished, Rep. Terry Morrow, DFL-St. Peter, rose to say that the expected hope of peace in the daily prayer had been “crushed by a single person’s words.”

Decorum on the floor broke so badly that [House Speaker Kurt] Zellers hit a session reset button. He asked the regular House chaplain, the Rev. Grady St. Dennis, to pray, then called for another Pledge of Allegiance and another attendance vote.

From the lowly members’ well in the House, a stricken Zellers addressed his fellow House members. “That type of person will never, ever be allowed on the House floor again,” he pledged.

In a separate statement, Zellers said of Dean, “I take responsibility for this mistake. … I denounce him, his actions and his words. He does not represent my values or the values of this state.” Zellers is a cosponsor of the marriage amendment.

So now — the ‘no gay marriage’ thing?

Friday’s bombshell arrived just as legislators were prepping for a vote to put the amendment question on the 2012 ballot. While the vote had once seemed a certainty for this session, by Friday afternoon it was in serious doubt.

“We never said whether we are going to take it up or not,” said Zellers, R-Maple Grove. Pressed on the timing of the vote, Zellers said: “At this point, I don’t [know] and I’m not prepared to say.” Zellers later said he still believes he has the votes to pass the amendment.

The Minnesota Family Council, advocates of the amendment, sent out an evening e-mail to its members, asking them to turn out at the State Capitol to apply pressure. The Legislature must adjourn its regular session by Monday at midnight.

Too bad.

Senate ethics report on the Ensign affair shows Senator Tom Coburn lied repeatedly

disgusting, klassy khristians, sex, yecch

After almost two years of investigation, after Nevada Senator John Ensign resigned just ahead of its findings being made public, the Senate Ethics Committee released its report on Ensign’s attempt to cover up a scandal. Ensign carried on an affair with the wife of his aide, Doug Hampton, and then sought to pay Hampton to keep him from making the affair public.

The report details Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn’s role as negotiator and intermediate between Hampton and Ensign. Hampton had alleged that Coburn carried out this role as a friend to fellow Senator Ensign. Hampton also alleged that the amounts of money Coburn negotiated were in the millions.

In July of 2009, Coburn denied all of the assertions.

Coburn said he was talking to Ensign about his tryst with a former staffer in his capacities as a doctor and a man of the cloth, Roll Call reported.

“I was counseling him as a physician and as an ordained deacon,” Coburn said. “That is privileged communication that I will never reveal to anybody. Not to the (Senate) Ethics Committee, not to a court of law, not to anybody.”

Doug Hampton, whose wife had engaged in an affair with Ensign, has claimed Coburn urged Ensign to pay the Hamptons millions of dollars after Hampton confronted Ensign about the affair.

“I categorically deny everything he said,” Coburn said.

He denied it again in a November 2009 interview with George Stephanopoulos.

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., told me flatly that he did not offer to broker a million-dollar deal between his Senate colleague, John Ensign, R-Nev., and the family of Ensign’s mistress . .

When I asked Coburn on This Week if Hampton is telling the truth, he said, “There was no negotiation,” but acknowledged that he had worked to “bring two families to a closure of a very painful episode.”

The Senate Ethics Committee findings contradict Coburn’s denials.

The report provides extensive details of the Coburn’s collaboration. He spoke to Hampton’s attorney, Daniel Albregts, three times on May 22, 2009, to discuss money Ensign planned to give the Hamptons. Coburn first said he wanted to “help Doug out” because he liked him and felt bad about what had happened, the report says. The Oklahoma Republican asked Albregts to find out what Hampton needed to start over.

According to the report, Albregts called about an hour later, interrupting Coburn from mowing his lawn on a tractor. The lawyer told the senator that Hampton had proposed $8 million to resettle his family and find a new job. Albregts told the Ethics Committee that Coburn countered, calling the figure “absolutely ridiculous.” Instead, Coburn reportedly said the Ensigns should purchase the Hampton’s home and give them some money to live off of while they looked for new jobs.

In a third call, Albregts proposed payments for the Hamptons of $1.2 million for their home and $1.6 million for relocation, the report says. During that five-minute call, Coburn said he thought that was reasonable and that he would take the request to Ensign. The former senator from Nevada, however, refused to pay that total.

I did my best to pull all the details of the scandal together. Everyone involved in it appears to be stupid, or an ass.

The Las Vegas television interview of a frustrated Hampton, one which essentially guaranteed an ethics investigation, if not Ensign’s resignation, you can see here.

Evangelicals feeling left out of the Tucson massacre #1

bigots, klassy khristians, tragedy

You fools! You’re screwing it all up!

Franklin Graham Says Tucson Memorial Service ‘Scoffed’ at Jesus
David Gibson | Politics Daily | Jan 20 2011

In a speech on Tuesday at John Brown University, a private Christian college in Siloam Springs, Ark., the son of the revered evangelist Billy Graham voiced “dismay” at the way the Tucson memorial service was conducted, arguing that it was not as explicitly religious — mainly “Christian” — as those following the Oklahoma City bombing and the 9/11 attacks . .

“There was no call for the name of God to put his loving arms around the people who were hurting, the people that were suffering,” Graham said. “Why? Why did they take God out of it? Why did they leave him out?

Franklin’s God is one shrinking violet. And petty, to boot.

Graham was referring to the pep rally atmosphere and the prayers by the Native American, an associate professor of medi-cine at the University, Carlos Gonzales, who is a Pascua Yaqui Indian and fifth generation Arizonan. (Graham called him a native of “the Yuppie tribe or something, I didn’t quite get it.”)

Mocking his ethnicity! What a funny guy. Ever hear the one about the the blind Polack and the cross-eyed Jew, Reverend? Get a load of it, you’ll have ‘em rolling in the pews. (Pssst — where the hell is cock-asia, incidentally?)

He has regularly disparaged Islam, calling it an “evil” religion, a blast that got him booted from official National Day of Prayer celebrations last year. And he once made fun of Hinduism’s deities, saying that “No elephant with 100 arms can do anything for me. None of their 9,000 gods is going to lead me to salvation.”

Ah, the grace of Christ.
