Reverend Al thinks it’s OK to be a Muslim

muslin death charge, wow

I’ve got a nasty cold, so the blogging schedule tonight is short.

How about this little clip? From Townhall:

A question for all you webmasters. You can post this on your site, but how do you title it? What’s the highlight? Maybe “Many Still Believe Obama is a Muslim”? Or “Southern Perception: Obama Lies About His Religion”? Naw. Here’s why you don’t run a big-time wingnut blog:

“Reverend” Sharpton: “There’s Nothing Wrong With Being A Muslim”

My Tim Tebow Problem
Rabbi Joshua Hammerman | Jewish Week Online Columnist

In this country, nothing, not even God, is more popular than football. Even in the wake of a summer long labor dispute, 23 of the 25 most watched TV programs this fall have been NFL games. When you combine the religion that is football with the religion that is religion, the mix can be dangerously flammable . .

If Tebow wins the Super Bowl, against all odds, it will buoy his faithful, and emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants . .

With this:

Tim Tebow Sparks New Round of Non-Existent Hate Crime
Gateway Guest Blogger | Gateway Pundit

. . But remember this: This many years into the War on Terror, the only anti-Muslim violence in the US has been a few sponsors pulling out from All-American Muslim, because it was a third-rate reality show. We’re a tolerant people. We welcome people who want to be here. That should include welcoming pretty darned good quarterbacks who are also Christians.

Could I weep any more for the American pariah? Aren’t we daunted by Timmy’s Job-like trials? No, and yes. I recall his being badly trapped inside the academic-free football orgy called ‘University of Florida.’ Frequent favorites to win the national championship, the rag-tag Gator felons and poor Tim won the country’s college Super Bowl. It was impossible, but then Timmy had a heart o’ Jesus.

On the other hand, Muslims live on flying carpets. And when they deign to stand on the Earth, they’re ensconced in palaces of the finest gold, behind whirling registers of debit-card magic, fronted by mysterious doors that open and close before you can say ‘Ali Baba.’ And drunken louts like Gateway Asshole shove sixers of Miller at the Kings of America, muttering obscenities everyone can hear, and I should mention he’s a Sikh, dumbfuck:

Balbir Singh Sodhi was gunned down on Sept. 15, 2001 in Mesa, Arizona. The turban-wearing Sikh was killed outside his gas station. Sodhi’s killer spent the hours before the murder in a bar, bragging of his intention to “kill the ragheads responsible for September 11.” He has been convicted and sits on death row.

Waqar Hasan of Dallas, Texas was also murdered on Sept. 15, 2001. The 46-year-old Pakistani, was shot to death in a convenience store he owned. Hasan was murdered by Mark Stroman, who was convicted of also murdering Vasudev Patel days later in nearby Mesquite, Texas.

Cordell noted that Stroman admitted to authorities to blinding a third victim, a Bangladeshi, in between the murders of Hasan and Patel. After his arrest Stroman bragged, “I did what every American wanted to do after Sept. 11th but didn’t have the nerve.”

They owe us some smashmouth football.

HOLLYWOOD JIHAD: SHOOTOUT, GUNMAN CALMLY TARGETED DRIVERS AND PEOPLE WHILE SHOUTING ALLAHU AKBAR!
Pam Geller | Atlas Shrugs

What is most disturbing about this story, apart from the obvious horror, is that not one news account reported what one witness said the shooter was screaming: “allahu akbar.” Not one news account. The media is the enemy.

Check out the video here. One of the witnesses states that the shooter was repeatedly shouting “allahu akbar” at minute 2:42. This video is on the bottom right of the LA Times new story, but they don’t mention it in their coverage — neither does Reuters, CBS news, The Hollywood Reporter, KFAI [sic], or any of the other news reports. I expect that this video will be removed or edited.

I expect not:

Tyler Brehm: Hollywood Shooter Reportedly Had A Tough Breakup Soon Before Vine Street Shooting
Huffington Post | 12/11/11

LOS ANGELES — Friends and neighbors of a gunman who was shot dead by police as he fired randomly at passing cars on a Hollywood street – critically wounding one man – say he was deeply troubled by the recent breakup with his girlfriend . .

Ramon Hernandez, who lived in the apartment next door to Brehm, said the couple had recently moved out. He told KABC-TV that they kept to themselves but he at times heard them arguing. “I could tell that he was an unstable person,” Hernandez said, “but I don’t know the details on what actually made him snap.”

Unless Al Qaeda are merely the unstable and heartbroken, Tyler wasn’t a Muslim terrorist. But don’t let facts dismay you, geniuses:

Zilla of the Resistance reminds us that, since September 11, 2001, nearly EIGHTEEN THOUSAND incidences of workplace violence “deadly islamic jihad terrorist attacks have transpired.”

The long list of the Obama administration’s aggressive support of Islam includes Eric Holder’s lawsuits supporting Shariah law, Janet Napolitano’s cleansing of mention of Islam and jihad from counterterror materials (via Zilla), and Tim Geitner’s [sic] use of taxpayer funds to help Muslim religious authorities collect religious taxes.

“The 2012 Republican primaries will soon be at hand, and it is of utmost importance that the Republican nominee who will challenge Obama for the Presidency is not only cognizant of, but willing to fearlessly fight against the ever increasing force of islamic supremacist infiltration of the United States and the global threat presented by islamic supremacist conquest to freedom loving people everywhere.”

I expect that these posts will be removed or edited.

GOP group overwhelmingly rejects Muslim man

bigots, muslin death charge, republicans

This is the funniest thing I’ve read all week. A Muslim Republican asks to join the Broward County GOP’s executive committee. The locals pepper him with insulting questions and panicky rules changes, and then vote him down with a victorious enthusiasm I suppose they’d showcase if Jane Fonda tried to join. And after all that appalling behavior, the Florida Republicans are angry at him.

Funny. But perhaps the idea of a Muslim joining the likes of Broward trash is so outrageous that a Muslim would have to be playing games with the GOP. Then again, maybe Nezar Hamze didn’t know how uniformly bigoted Republicans can be. If so, he learned soon enough:

“I’m aligned with Republican values. And I want to serve the party,” said Hamze, who earlier told a reporter that any effort to block him was the result of anti-Islamic “bigotry.”

At times, when he addressed the packed room at the Sheraton Suites in Fort Lauderdale, a few members shouted out among the crowd of about 300.

“Terrorist!” said one man.

Over and over, I keep thinking of party politics in the deep South after World War II. I imagine former GOP Chairman Michael Steele’s grandfather being dumb enough to try to join a particularly vicious Alabama chapter. “N*gger!” said one man.

Members of Broward’s Republican Party said Hamze was making a mockery of their rules and was trying to become a member as a publicity stunt.

“I don’t have a positive impression of Mr. Hamze. I don’t think he will be an asset to our party,” said Scott Spages, who is involved in programs concerning radical Islam at his church, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale.

Spages knows of what he sees: radical Islam dancing all around him like Yetis at Burning Man. Once you’ve seen, oh, A Muslim, Hamze’s charade looks like the inside of your eyelids.

The actual kicker: Hamze is Florida chapter president of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. For the Broward wolves, it was as if Muhammad himself had chucked a taqiyya lamb chop into their den. ‘You can’t fool us!’ they seemed to be saying. ‘TOLD you I was Muslim,’ Hamze accurately replied, uselessly.

Imagine also, then, if Grampa Steele had worked in a civil rights organization. It goes the same way.

A new litmus test was then born: Do you support Rep. Allen West? The tea-party Republican has repeatedly denounced Islam and clashed with Hamze. So has Joe Kaufman, chairman of the group Americans Against Hate and former vice-chairman of the Republican Jewish Coalition of South Florida. “Are you willing to support Congressman Allen West… as a Republican?” Kaufman said loudly in the microphone. “Will you denounce terrorism?”

Mr. Steele: are you willing to support our Grand Wizard… as a Republican? Will you denounce race mixing? It’s too funny. Do bank robbers have secret societies? Do they recruit security guards?

Hamze said he couldn’t comment on the politics of CAIR because it’s a non-profit non-partisan group. He later said he denounces terrorism and that he’s not involved in any terrorist activities.

The security guard said, “If you don’t shoot me first, I won’t shoot you. Deal?”

Mr. Steele affirmed, “I haven’t mixed-up anyone. Not even you. We good?”

Final vote: 158 to 11. Darn.

After the vote, Broward Executive Committee Chairman Richard DeNapolis said simply: “Mr. Hamze, your membership has been denied.”

The crowd cheered loudly.

Next: Hamze petitions the Dixie Pork Bingers . .

ADD: You’d think the Broward geniuses could have spent the same 30 seconds it took me to find out who Nezar Hamze is:

“Relief. Closure. Hope. These are the sentiments expressed by Fort Lauderdale Muslims, American Muslims, and Muslims across the globe at the death of Osama Bin Laden.

“Every major Islamic group in North America has released a statement expressing relief that Osama Bin Laden is dead and the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is no exception. ‘At first, I didn’t believe it, but then the news sunk in with President Obama’s speech,’ said Nezar Hamze, Executive Director of CAIR Florida’s Miami Chapter, who just returned from a national meeting of Muslim leaders. ‘We are all satisfied that justice has been served.’”

The Brilliant Bearded Battle of Earthbound Hate

bigots, muslin death charge, wingnuts

Roll up, one and all! Don’t miss the furious podium-pounding action!

The great right-wing thinkers, activists and philosophers of two powerful cultures square off in a marquee battle of hate. Who, we all wonder, will end up the champion assholes of our time? Who are the Sugar Rays of revulsion, the Kid Dynamites of disgust? Wouldn’t you love to know?

Yes, well . . good luck, friends, picking any winners. These are evenly matched adversaries, mindless haters armed with no compunctions about dumping garbage on innocent people they know nothing about. A couple of these guys may get so wound up, they’ll ask you to kill their enemies (it’s not unprecedented). Hell, a couple of them may even demand it. Who knows? All you can really guarantee is that everyone will despise everybody a little more when it’s all over. Because, after all, did you see that? I told you he was crazy.

So settle into your seats, and get ready for some top-notch nastiness. This will be a vicious war of words. And combatants, please remember the one and only rule of Spite Club: NO BEARD PULLING. If, somehow, you all ended up without facial hair, how would we tell you apart? As you wound up in a giant, kissy-face finger-banging dogpile? We will not be amused.

So it’s the longs against the shorts. The Eastern Shaggies versus the Western Scragglies. And with that proper introduction, time for you to get to your corners, beaver pussies. When the digital bell rings, come out bug-eyed, swinging, spitting, hectoring, projecting, and maliciously lying. May the nastier bunch of you . . go to hell . . . . . . . [ding!] . . .

• “When modern-day Jews and Christians read their Bibles, they simply don’t interpret the passages cited as exhorting them to violent actions against unbelievers. This is due to the influence of centuries of interpretative traditions that have moved them away from literalism regarding these passages. But in Islam, there is no comparable interpretative tradition.

• “I’m fighting so I can die a martyr and go to heaven to meet God. Our fight now is against the Americans.”

• “It is saddening to tell you that you are the worst civilization witnessed by the history of mankind . .

• “They say, ‘Oh, there’s a billion of them.’ I said, ‘So, kill 100 million of them, then there’ll be 900 million of them.”

• “The United States is targeting Islam, the Muslim and Arab states in the Middle East and beyond. It wants to control the world.”

• “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

Robert Spencer’s nasty anti-Americanism

*holes, muslin death charge

What can you say about these anti-Muslim freaks? You certainly can’t explain Robert Spencer’s mindset, it’s too paranoid and reactionary to really understand. Well, unless you’re Robert, I suppose.

And then what he’d say is that they’re the ones with the problem. It’s those people we should be taking a good, long look at:

So I don’t know why nowadays freedom of religion is considered absolute especially since, as you point out Janet, we’re talking about a political ideology here, and the political ideology is what is dangerous to Americans because it impinges upon our freedoms, our freedom of speech, our freedom of conscience, the idea of equality of rights of all people before the law and so on.

The Muslims. All the impinge-ing, my goodness. If my civil liberties were a Ford Bronco, they would have totaled it by now. I can’t even speak in public the way I used to, like I’m doing now. After 9/11, with the influx of perhaps a couple more of them into the U.S., I’m drowning in caustic Islam.

You see, they don’t keep their religion inside their mosques. Not they way they’re supposed to. Oh no. It spills out into public, it enters into politics. They can’t be allowed to do that. That’s when and where we need to bring out the hammer of the law.

That is the only reason why anybody is concerned about Islamic law. So if those political aspects were restricted then there would be no problem. And I don’t think it would restrict the freedom of religion to restrict the political aspects of Islam.

Robert Spencer? Meet the black box of anarchic voodoo that is . . America. Shake hands with social conservatives like Pat Robertson and James Dobson. Attend the National Prayer Breakfast with all our political leaders. Get elected to the presidency and get shadowed by the likes of Billy Graham, or some other self-appointed keeper of your spiritual soul. Or take a gander at this.

Right-wingers turning FBI counter-terrorism into joke

muslin death charge, war on terrorism

Spencer Ackerman reports, you wince. What is the FBI doing, teaching their agents this sort of useless stuff?

. . “main stream” [sic] American Muslims are likely to be terrorist sympathizers; that the Prophet Mohammed was a “cult leader”; and that the Islamic practice of giving charity is no more than a “funding mechanism for combat.”

They’re making their counter-terrorists smarter. Better, racier. World Net Daily-er. What the hell is going on?

Those destructive tendencies cannot be reversed, an FBI instructional presentation adds: “Any war against non-believers is justified” under Muslim law; a “moderating process cannot happen if the Koran continues to be regarded as the unalterable word of Allah.”

This is our FBI? Get out. Ackerman tracks down the source:

Several of these briefings were the work of a single author: an FBI intelligence analyst named William Gawthrop. In 2006, before he joined the Bureau, he gave an interview to the website WorldNetDaily, and discussed some of the themes that made it into his briefings, years later. The Prophet “Muhammad’s mindset is a source for terrorism,” Gawthrop told the website . .

The World Net Daily, ferchrissakes. See Rachel Maddow’s interview. And then, using standard ‘y = mx + b’ notation, please calculate the historic slopes of Christianity and Judaism on the reverse-violence scale:

Was the 2007 e-mail that Pam Geller posted and promoted on her website sent from mass murderer Anders Breivik?

domestic terrorism, don't look, hypocrisy, muslin death charge

Did hate blogger Pam Geller post a 2007 anti-Muslim e-mail from mass murderer Anders Breivik on her website? Did she recently edit it of its violent rhetoric in attempt to hide its source? Or is she merely admitting to using poor judgment with an anonymous e-mailer?

It makes one wonder. There’s no doubt about this: a Norwegian anti-Muslim fan of Geller’s and her Islamophobic blog, Atlas Shrugs, did write and send her a fairly nasty and paranoid e-mail. And this: Anders Breivik read Geller’s blog because he quoted it several times in his anti-Muslim hate manifesto. Upon receiving the e-mail almost exactly four years ago to the horrible day, Geller turned around and posted it on her site with this dramatic introduction:

I am running an email I received from an Atlas reader in Norway. It is devastating in its matter-of-factness.

Following that, the e-mail began:

Well, yes, the situation is worsening. Stepping up from 29 000 immigrants every year, in 2007 we will be getting a total of 35 000 immigrants from somalia, iran, iraq and afghanistan. The nations capital is already 50% muslim, and they ALL go there after entering Norway. Adding the 1.2 births per woman per year from muslim women, there will be 300 000+ muslims out of the then 480 000 inhabitants of that city.

Orders from Libya and Iran say that Oslo will be known as Medina at the latest in 2010, although I consider this a PR-stunt nevertheless it is their plan . .

You will note that Oslo avoided being named Medina last year. A few sentences later, the e-mail goes on this way:

This will make the muslims worldwide go into a frenzy, attacking everyone around them.

We are stockpiling and caching weapons, ammunition and equipment. This is going to happen fast.

Before, I thought about emigrating to Britain, Israel, USA, South Africa, etc. for taxes and politics, but instead (although I believe we are the very last generation on earth before the return of God) I will stay and fight for the right to this country . .

The paragraph I highlighted, the part about caching weapons and ammunition, is the portion that Pam recently disappeared from her site. [See Charles Johnson's coverage for all the details, here.]

Updates in the thread indicate that Pam edited the post within the last day, so that would be after the bombing and mass murder.

So, what’s the story, Pam? Why the about-face in behavior? Because after Breivik’s manifesto was found with your footnotes all over it, you exploded in saintly defiance:

Instead of mourning the 91 victims of this horrible tragedy, the media is wielding it like a club to bludgeon the voices of freedom.

. . sharia-compliant media is naked in their blood libel to tie this murderer to everyone of us who fight for human rights, the rule of law, the dignity of the human person, free speech, the free conscience, and equality of rights for all.

Now you’re skulking around on your “human rights” blog, suppressing the “free speech” and “conscience” of an armed Atlas reader from Norway. Maybe you should contact the Norwegian authorities?

In whatever case, we accept your apology.

Michael Savage claims liberals conspired to use Anders Breivik to kill themselves

fancy thinkin', muslin death charge, whacko, wingnuts

The accounts of right-wing genius in the aftermath of the Anders Breivik massacre continue to mount. Witness Michael Savage’s brilliance. Wasting almost no time to collect his handful of wits, Michael quickly saw the truth of the tragedy:

MICHAEL SAVAGE: Norway’s official story? Not so fast
World Net Daily | July 23 2011

This has all the appearances of a cover-up. They created their Reichstag fire. They found their Timothy McVeigh. They created their Jack Ruby.

Let’s see: the liberals used a commie arsonist’s right-wing mass murderer’s evil deeds to suspend civil liberties, attack the political opposition and seize parliamentary power? No.

They used a right-wing mass murderer to blow up a government institution in an act of right-wing mass murder? No.

They used a whackjob night club owner right-wing mass murderer to kill a whackjob assassin not kill himself, the right-wing mass murderer, who shot a popular left-wing president bunch of liberals?

Savage’s logic escapes me. But I admit that the left-wing killing a whole bunch of their defenseless teenaged children for no political gain is a bold gambit. Almost unheard of.

How could one man have blown up the downtown and then raced to the island to kill the teens?

First: He blows up downtown. Next: He races to the island to kill the teens. Savage was so close to understanding this, too. The shootings occurred 90 minutes later.

“This is likely a fabrication of the Labour Party, who needs to hold onto power to enforce their multi-culturalist, Muslim-favoring, anti-nationalist views,” he continued, “especially in light of the earlier ‘credit’ for this atrocity claimed by the radical Muslim group whose leader they were threatening to deport.

Savage getting smarter. A Muslim did all this, the bombing and the shooting massacre. It was one of the guys from the ‘terrorist’ group that first claimed responsibility. They were pissed at the Labour government for trying to deport one of their leaders (they’re not even the same people, this already makes no sense — sshhh! I’m explaining) . . .

But when the government got news of the Islamofascist attack, they said, “Not a Muslim! We have a conspiracy with those guys. We can’t have this!” So they told the police not to arrest the guy shooting all the people on that lone island, but instead to arrest some anonymous blond guy who was hanging around. Luckily, it was a right-wing lunatic with a 1500 page anti-Muslim manifesto who’d been planning to bomb and kill liberals for years. And who happily confessed to everything, including the bombing elsewhere. And who was, very, very oddly, identified by each one of the scarred survivors. Lucky, huh?

“The official story defies logic in the following sense as well,” he continued, “if this lone right-winger hated Muslims, as the New York Times is reporting, then why did he slaughter his own people and not Muslims?”

Ah, the Mark Steyn defense. Knocked that one down yesterday. When you read the manifesto (don’t read the manifesto), it becomes clear: the Muslims are vermin. But it’s his fellow snotty, traitorous Norwegian liberals that are ruining the country by ushering the rats into his precious, formerly pure bastion. They’re the ones who are really dangerous and ultimately responsible. Thus, the tragedy.

Conservatives realize who the shooting victims were: them

*holes, muslin death charge

Tragedy. Blood, everywhere. Horror. Howls of pain. It’s too much to bear.

Dear World: STOP SHOOTING DEFENSELESS RIGHT-WING BLOGGERS.

Media Assassins
Pamela Geller | July 25, 2011

That’s Pam Geller, for sure. She rescues baby fur seals or reads to the blind when she’s not calling the president an illegitimate bastard.

Here’s the defense of the Islamophobes: crazy people read stuff. They even quote it. So?

Are celebrities responsible for their stalkers? Were the Beatles responsible for Charles Manson? Or Jodie Foster responsible for the shooting of Ronald Reagan?

That’s Pam’s ‘celebrity’ narcissism at work. She thinks she’s John Lennon. She’s a freedom-loving saint, courageous blog-patriot and songwriting sensation.

Earth to Pam: you are a hate monger. And when people take vicious rhetoric like yours seriously, innocent people get hurt. This has been true for centuries. The Beatles or Jodie Foster don’t vomit hate upon the world the way you do.

The Character Assassination of Robert Spencer
David Horowitz | Jul 25th, 2011

The New York Times today has a wretched editorial masquerading as a news story on Robert Spencer and his alleged complicity in the Oslo massacres because his ideas are cited by the lunatic responsible. Joseph McCarthy could not have done it better. The Times next will blame Noam Chomsky for the crimes of Osama bin Laden and Al Gore for the crimes of the Unabomber since the ideas of both were cited by the lunatics.

Chomsky doesn’t hate Americans. Gore doesn’t hate technology. But Spencer hates Muslims. Period. Nice try, David. Incidentally, who said this?

“There is a movement for a second Holocaust of the Jews that is being supported on this campus by the Muslim Student Association!”

Oh yeah, you did. Surprise.

Anyway, what’s all this talk of Islamophobia? Mark Steyn just doesn’t understand.

The mass murderer Breivik published a 1,500-page “manifesto.” It quotes me, as well as several friends of [the National Review] . .

So, if a blonde blue-eyed Aryan Scandinavian kills dozens of other blonde blue-eyed Aryan Scandinavians, that’s now an “Islamophobic” mass murder?

And this will be your defense, Mark? If Breivik didn’t kill Muslims, we’re all idiots? The guy was so wound up that he put together a massive hate manifesto, but why would we think it has anything to do with the planning and bomb-planting and traveling and shooting?

Islamophobia seems an eccentric perspective to apply to this atrocity, and comes close to making the actual dead mere bit players in their own murder.

The tragedy’s actually in our hands, Mark’s saying. We should be careful how we play it out. Don’t reduce the dead to “mere bit players” when they’re really the stars. A National Review post makes me want to puke, again.

Quote the manifesto’s introduction:

More than 90% of the EU and national parliamentarians and more than 95% of journalists are supporters of European multiculturalism and therefore supporters of the ongoing Islamic colonisation of Europe; yet, they DO NOT have the permission of the European peoples to implement these doctrines.

So Breivik was most angry with the left-wing, multi-cultural champions of “Islamic colonisation.” That’s why he armed himself and went to an event hosting the future liberals of Norway, killing scores of them. Steyn’s argument that the shooting was random is disgusting. Even he isn’t that stupid.

Conservative bloggers never make mistakes. They’re too smart to be wrong. Too great to be wrong. They can’t be wrong.

As far as I know, liberals haven’t attacked me for the post I did while the attacks were in progress. But what I wrote was, I think, typical:

“The perpetrators of these attacks have not yet been identified, but they likely were Muslim terrorists.”

Was that wrong? Not at all.

See? He was right. If he’d said the killer was likely a 50 foot lesbian, he’d be right again. And so what if a mass murderer was mainlining their xenophobic heroin? Anders Breivik killed more people in an attack than Al Qaeda ever did except for their 9/11, embassy bombings and Bali bombing attacks. So what?

His manifesto quotes Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch sixty-four times. If Breivik had quoted me even once, I don’t know what I’d do. Probably crawl into a cardboard box, throw away my computer. But the steely Islamophobes are different. Unlike Breivik, they know that they’re right. No matter what, they’re right.

. . the first thing everyone thinks is that it likely will prove to be another instance of Islamic terrorism. In this case, it wasn’t. The left seems to find significance in that fact, but the appropriate response is, so what?

It’s too important to tell the truth about typical, murderous Muslims. Critically important to get the word out, to swing people around to their point of view. But when someone actually buys their arguments, so what?

. . as if killing a lot of children aids the defense against the global jihad and Islamic supremacism . .

See? He could have helped. But something went tragically wrong.

If anyone incited him to violence, it was Islamic supremacists.

I blame them.
