I am not a conspiracy gal, but, in fact, I am out to get Ron Paul as his eyebrows might be the most genuine things about him. People think he is more of a joke than a threat because he has a slightly smaller chance of winning the White House than I do, but here is what’s important about him:

1) For a guy who can’t really win an election, he has been taking up a seat in Congress for around 30 years, voting no on virtually everything because he is “against government.” Way to collect a fat (government) paycheck for doing the people’s business without actually doing any work.

2) Most important, some of us have been watching Paul for some time and are aware that the avuncular Libertarian thing is an act, albeit a successful one. He pulls in lots of pigeons, I mean followers, who can’t see past “End the Wars” and “Legalize Drugs.” Many of these political morons, I mean Americans, who are entitled to their own point of view spend all their time splitting the Left on behalf of their Libertarian Savior and getting very nasty when you attempt to point out that it directly aids the extreme Right.

3) It is now WELL documented that Paul is a serious career racist and has been since well before he began his career in Congress. His writings and associations over this time come from his deep involvement with the worst of the worst: basically, white supremacists and neo-Nazis. If you really want to see his most solid and consistent fan base, check out the threads about him on Stormfront.org and vdare.com. Oh — also, he is down with the John Birch Society. Takes money from, does photo-ops with, speaks at functions of, etc., all of the above. BTW: he hates women, LGBT people and poor people as much as he does people of color, but, if I get into all of that now, I’ll be in “new post” territory instead of comments [*boing* --ed.]. His writings and speeches were much more overtly racist in the past — he’s stealthier now, but, sadly for him, his past garbage has been preserved and is being re-distributed.

4) Even if none of the above were true, he is partially responsible for the existence of RAND PAUL. I rest my case.

As far as the eyebrow thing it is also possible that Dr. Paul has health issues that contribute to their disappearance, but, if I knew anything about, that HIPPA laws and patient confidentiality would prevent me from revealing it at this time. All I can say is Ron Paul is a very, very bad man despite any appearances to the contrary. American politics is very much about appearances, but, in Ron Paul’s case, a little peri-ocular merkin situation might be the best thing about him.

Though they live on opposite sides of the Atlantic ocean, though they once held power over realms as contrasting as California environmental policy and international exchange rates, former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and International Monetary Fund Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn share a common and ugly proclivity: they attack women.

The former action star and California Governor admitted today that, ten years earlier, he fathered the child of a woman on his household staff. The woman was reportedly married at the time, and the Governor was married to Maria Shriver. He was also accused of sexual harassment of or criminal sexual behavior toward as many as 12 women back in 2003, in the run up to his winning the governorship.

During the production of the 1991 mega-blockbuster Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a producer on that film recalls Arnold’s emerging from his trailer one day and noticing a fortyish female crew member, who was wearing a silk blouse. Arnold went up to the woman, put his hands inside her blouse, and proceeded to pull her breasts out of her bra. Another observer says, “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. This woman’s nipples were exposed, and here’s Arnold and a few of his clones laughing. I went after the woman, who had run to the shelter of a nearby trailer. She was hysterical but refused to press charges for fear of losing her job. It was disgusting.”

The current I.M.F. head, Strauss-Kahn, sits in jail:

He is charged with seven crimes, including attempted rape, sexual abuse, forcible touching and unlawful imprisonment, against a 32-year-old hotel maid who had entered his suite at the Sofitel hotel near Times Square at around midday to clean. Conviction carries a prison sentence of up to 74 years.

According to the criminal complaint, Strauss-Kahn shut the door of his hotel room, trapping his alleged victim inside, before grabbing her chest without her consent.

John McConnell, an assistant district attorney said: “He sexually assaulted her and attempted to forcibly rape her,” and when that failed, he forced her to perform oral sex.

Arnold:

Anna Richardson of Big Screen claims that after the cameras stopped rolling for her interview segment, Schwarzenegger, apparently attempting to ascertain whether Richardson’s breasts were real, tweaked her nipple and then laughed at her objections. “I left the room quite shaken,” she says. “What was more upsetting was that his people rushed to protect him and scapegoated me, and not one person came to apologize afterward.”

Dominique:

Tristane Banon was in her 20s and writing a book when she approached Strauss-Kahn for an interview in 2002. In a TV programme in 2007, in which Strauss-Kahn’s name had been bleeped out, Banon allegedly described him as a “rutting chimpanzee” and described how she was forced to fight him off. “It finished badly … very violently … I kicked him,” Banon said. “When we were fighting, I mentioned the word ‘rape’ to make him afraid, but it didn’t have any effect. I managed to get out.”

Banon’s mother, fully aware of who Strauss-Kahn was, counseled Tristane against reporting him to the police:

. . she had dissuaded her daughter from legal action because she believed Strauss-Kahn’s behaviour had been out of character and because of close links with his family. “Today I am sorry to have discouraged my daughter from complaining. I bear a heavy responsibility,” she said.

Don’t feel too bad. Who’s to say anyone would have believed her? California voters knew well the allegations against Arnold, and they voted for him twice.

Now comes word of at least one reason why California’s perhaps most famous ‘power couple,’ Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, are divorcing after 25 years:

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, separated after she learned he had fathered a child more than a decade ago — before his first run for office — with a longtime member of their household staff.

Shriver moved out of the family’s Brentwood mansion earlier this year, after Schwarzenegger acknowledged the paternity. The staff member worked for the family for 20 years, retiring in January.

“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Schwarzenegger said Monday night in a statement issued to The Times in response to questions. “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.

The political and entertainment news bombshell was probably a long time coming. The love/tryst child may have been a household secret for 10 years, but the action star’s predatory and irresponsible sexual behavior toward anonymous women certainly wasn’t.

[Stuntwoman Rhonda] Miller, who also is represented by Gloria Allred, claims in the lawsuit that while working with the superstar in January 1991 on the set of “Terminator 2,” Schwarzenegger engaged in “improper and unlawful” conduct.

Miller says Schwarzenegger pulled up her T-shirt and photographed her breasts and touched them even as she fought with him and yelled at him to stop.

In the October news conference, Miller said she later found the photo on the ceiling of the set’s makeup trailer, according to the Los Angeles Times . .

In the lawsuit, Miller also claims that while filming “True Lies” in 1994, Schwarzenegger “grabbed me, put me on his lap and started feeling my breasts, so I hit him in the head again. He got mad and pushed me away.”

At least 11 other women made claims of sexual harassment against Schwarzenegger in the lead-up to the 2003 California recall election, which he won. The household staff member who gave birth to Schwarzenegger’s child a decade ago was reportedly married at the time.

I had been privy to several first-hand accounts of Arnold’s sexual harassment because my then long-time housemate was a member of director James Cameron’s crew during the filming of Terminator II and True Lies. Schwarzenegger famously made no attempt to conceal his neanderthal attitude and criminal behavior toward women on his movie sets, preferring to think it entertaining. Why Californians refused to believe the victims’ accounts, or refused to care, remains a mystery.

Carradine’s body to return home, while questions remain

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — David Carradine’s wife and his manager disputed suggestions that the actor’s death was a suicide, while rescue workers and police in Bangkok, Thailand, said the actor’s neck and genitals were found bound with rope.

David Carradine was the star of the 1970s TV series, “Kung Fu,” and appeared in more than 100 films.

After Carradine’s body arrives back to the United States this weekend, an autopsy ordered by Carradine’s family will be conducted, according to the actor’s co-manager.

“They’re doing everything possible to get to the bottom of what really happened,” said Carradine’s co-manager Tiffany Smith…

Bangkok police said Carradine was found hanging by a nylon rope in a Bangkok hotel room closet Thursday morning.

“Our preliminary assumption is that the cause of death was suffocation, because there was a rope tied to his neck,” said Bangkok police spokesman Somprasong Yenthuam…

A member of the emergency crew who was called to the hotel after a maid found Carradine told CNN that a yellow nylon rope was tied around the actor’s neck and a black rope was around his genitals. Police later confirmed that information.

The same emergency crew source said Carradine’s hands were not tied, contrary to some media reports. Smith, the co-manager, also said media reports quoting the actor’s management saying the hands were tied were untrue.
