White Plains police respond to medic-alert call, break down the door, shoot and kill 68 y.o. black Marine wary of the police

In November of last year, a police shooting occurred in White Plains, New York.

Kenneth Chamberlain was a 68 year-old former Marine with a heart condition. After accidentally triggering his medical alert pendant in the middle of the night, the cops knocked on his door, waking him up. He responds to police by going to the door but not opening it. Frankly, he’s distrustful of the police. He tells them that he’s fine. There’s no problem, they can go away.

They refuse to go away. They keep telling him to open the door. They grow angrier and angrier with him, warning Kenneth that they’re going to break down the door. It becomes a police-driven confrontation that spirals off into hell. Democracy Now interviewed Kenneth Jr., the victim’s son:

KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN, JR.: Ultimately, after using expletives and racial slurs, they broke down the door. You can see on the video from the taser that they fired a taser at him. And I’m assuming that both prongs didn’t go in. He stood about maybe eight to 10 feet away from them with his hands down to his side. And at one point, you hear one of the officers say, “Cut it off.” And it was at that point they shot and killed my father.

Who checks in on a veteran with a heart condition and tasers him? The police report indicates they then shot him with a beanbag. After that, they shot Chamberlain dead, right in his own apartment. Why? They say he wielded a knife. That claim isn’t supported by audio and video of the incident. What’s more likely is that this was a homicide involving racist cops:

KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN, JR.: I’ve heard—I heard several things on there. One thing you hear is my father pleading with them to leave him alone. Excuse me. You hear him asking them why are they doing this to him. He says, “I’m a 68-year-old man with a heart condition. Why are you doing this to me? I know what you’re going to do: you’re going to come in here, and you’re going to kill me.” You also hear him pleading with the officers again, over and over. And at one point, that’s when the expletive is used by one of the police officers.

AMY GOODMAN: What did they say?

KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN, JR.: Where they say, “I don’t give a F.” And then they use the N-word. And then, as I said, ultimately, they bust down the door. And it hurts because, as I said, it didn’t have to go to that point. You also hear the operators from the LifeAid company call the police station and say that they want to cancel the call, Mr. Chamberlain is OK. And at one point you hear the officer there at their central office say, “We’re not canceling anything.” They say, “Call his son. Contact his son.” And they say, “We’re not contacting anyone. We don’t need any mediators.”

KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN, JR.: And in 45 years of me being on this earth, that was the very first time that I ever heard my father where he was pleading and begging for his life, someone who I looked at as being extremely strong, to hear him beg for his life, to say that this was his sworn testimony on the audio, which the police did not know that was being recorded. He said, “My name is Kenneth Chamberlain. This is my sworn testimony. White Plains police are going to come in here and kill me.”

While Kenneth Jr. and his attorney have seen and heard the tapes, the police refuse to release them to the public. Police won’t release the names of the officers, and won’t say whether they’ve been suspended or are still on active duty. The District Attorney has done nothing so far. The whole thing reeks. Does anybody really wonder why black people still view cops with distrust?

Meet the conveniently bullet-ridden liberal, Eric Fuller

Meet Eric Fuller
The Left finds a new icon.
by John Hayward | Jan 14 2010 | Human Events

You might be seeing a lot of Eric Fuller over the weekend. He’s one of the people injured in Jared Loughner’s shooting rampage, taking rounds in the knee and back. He’s also a vicious bigot, and because he’s elderly and a military veteran, the Left is going to fall in love with him.

Fuck that. I don’t care who shoots you, you loser.

Fuller gave an interview with the Democracy NOW radio show, in which he said of the Tucson shootings: “It looks like Palin, Beck, Sharron Angle, and the rest got their first target.” Presumably he’s not talking about Judge John Roll.

Correct! C’mon, Giffords was the target, and she took a bullet, through the head.

But Eric, the ambitious ass, took two. So now it’s “FULLER BLAH BLAH ANTI-GOVERNMENT LUNATIC HOLE IN MY LEG.” How convenient.

Great American patriot and Blackwater impresario Erik Prince bails the United States, moves to United Arab Emirates

He grew up rich, ultra-Conservative and ultra-Christian. He became a Navy Seal. He later founded the world’s most powerful para-military for hire, Blackwater. He became a friend of the Bush administration and raked in better than a billion dollars in contracts over 10 years.

He’s Erik Prince, and he’s tired of America and its bitching and complaining about his homicidal, gun-running company, and he’s getting out. Going to live in that shining city on a hill, Some Arab Capital:

Blackwater Founder Moves to Abu Dhabi, Records Say
By JAMES RISEN | Published: August 17, 2010

WASHINGTON — Erik Prince, whose company, Blackwater Worldwide, is for sale and whose former top managers are facing criminal charges, has left the United States and moved to Abu Dhabi, according to court documents . .

Current and former colleagues said Mr. Prince hoped to focus on security work from governments in Africa and the Middle East. They also said he was bitter about the legal scrutiny and negative publicity his company had received.

Mr. Prince does not face any criminal charges, but five former top company executives have been indicted on federal weapons, conspiracy and obstruction charges. Two guards who worked for a Blackwater-affiliated company face murder charges from a 2009 shooting in Afghanistan, and the Justice Department is trying to revive its prosecution of five former Blackwater guards accused of killing 17 Iraqi civilians in 2007.

Yes, that’s what a great patriot does, hides in the United Arab Emirates. Because they hold traditional American values dear: democracy, freedom, and fair play. OR, more likely, ‘Your money’s good here.’ And ‘No extradition.’

Erik’s traditional values?

Erik Prince talks values, defends Blackwater at Tulip Time lunch
By PETER DAINING | Posted May 05, 2010 @ 04:10 PM

Erik Prince told a sold-out Tulip Time lunch crowd that the worth of a warrior is not best defined by his deeds, but by his enemies. The founder of Blackwater and Holland native described his own enemies as Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and “noisy leftists.” . .

Prince decried Washington and its excessive government spending. He did not mention that Blackwater — now called Xe — was the beneficiary of government contracts worth more than $1 billion, many awarded without competitive bidding . .

But he also addressed his youth, saying he walked in Tulip Time parades every year from fourth grade through high school. He went to the Naval Academy, but eventually dropped out; he called the school too liberal. “As liberal as some universities may be, imagine one run by the federal government,” he said . .

Lou Dobbs is just a pathetic liar, and I can prove it (a video takedown)

Lou Dobbs famously asserted that illegal immigrants were coming into the United States carrying leprosy, and that it caused a spike in domestic cases. 60 Minutes debunked it, but he defended the report anyway. Why was the leprosy story ‘correct’? Because he’s Lou Dobbs, and he reported it on his show.

Every other reporter’s facts are subject to scrutiny, but not Lou’s. Because Lou is the one person in the world who only reports the truth. And to support that lazy arrogance, he called the same ‘reporter’ back on the show to repeat the same falsehoods without doing any of the same fact-checking that 60 Minutes showed he omitted. Only this time, he and the reporter added “..we don’t make up numbers here”:

Lou felt astounded: “…it’s, uh…it’s remarkable that, uh…this, whatever, confusion or confoundment over 7,000 cases. They actually keep a registry of cases of leprosy.” That’s right, and you keep refusing to read it. Unbelievable. Lou is actually touting the same registry that proves he’s a professional liar. And then he has the gall to say he has no idea why the spike in cases, which never occurred, occurred? In other words, no one has any idea what’s causing the false rise in leprosy, but now he just happens to be in the mood to talk about illegal immigration.

How the hell can he get away with the blank assertion that what he does is anything but utter bullshit? Because he relies upon experts, like the poltergeist they used for the story:

Dr. Madeleine Cosman, perhaps the creepiest human being in the world. Or, at least she was, while she was still alive. Madeleine was an expert…in ancient and Renaissance stuff. She wrote Fabulous Feasts: Medieval Cookery and Ceremony. She also had a Ph.D. In English. Might as well mirror an ultra-Conservative crocodile whackjob Medievalist when you want to lecture people on inter-border infectious disease trends, right?

When Amy Goodman called Dobbs out again for lying about fantasy leperous illegal immigrants, he defended himself with a new dodge, reminding us of the intellectual rifle, Dr. Cosman. She was amazing:

(…thanks to truthinimmigration.org for the clip and the debunk.)

See a trend? No matter what the actual truth is, no matter how conclusively you prove to him that he’s wrong, the blowhard won’t give in. He’s always got a reason or an excuse because, frankly, the idea of his being the ultimate source of all things true is a lot more fun to indulge than the truth. Hey, why waste time finding out if you’re an honest man when you can just pretend to be the face of honesty itself? C’mon, Lou is on CNN, fer chrissakes. So, like a shiny brat, he’ll take responsibility for nothing that he’s done, said, or about to do because he’s just better than that.

Yesterday, in an interview with Telemundo, they understandably challenged him yet again on his lying about leprosy and illegal immigrants. This time, he finally admits the story wasn’t accurate. But, he says, all he did was say one word. And the mistake wasn’t his fault, of course, it was the reporter’s, she ‘ad-libbed’. And, besides, you jerks, it was four years ago:

MARIA CELESTE: …but even after that, that was proven wrong, what you had said, you stood behind your reporting, insisting that it was accurate. Why was that?

LOU DOBBS: No, no. Let’s be very clear: one–I did not stand behind that reporting, in fact we corrected that reporting. And secondly, in fairness to me, if you will, I never said a word about leprosy and undocumented immigrants as you put it. My correspondent on our broadcast ad-libbed it, and as you’re very familiar with the process of an edited report, and at the end of that, she referred to a source with whom she had been speaking, and she said at the end of that report, ad-libbed it, that is without script or preparation, but simply said it, that there were thousands of people on the registry for leprosy in the United States and that those had shot up dramatically over the course of three years. Obviously she was wrong. My only statement by the way in coming out of that report was one word: “incredible.” That was it…

Dobbs called the reporter back onto his show to tell the leprosy lie a second time and to personally aver “I stand 100 percent behind what you said.” But now, Dobbs remembers that it was a wispy ad-lib from a foolish reporter. Hell, all the perplexed Lou managed to mutter was…’incredible.’

Enough? It’s time to tell the truth: Lou Dobbs is just a fucking liar.
