The racism and the three black teens that weren’t

race, the woeful internet

What an awful thing.

Christopher Lane, 22, was reportedly shot in the back as he jogged down a road in Duncan, Okla., in the middle of the afternoon last Friday. He was a victim of random violence, police say, after three teens — ages 15, 16 and 17 — saw him pass a house they were in. They allegedly got in a car, followed Lane and shot him.

The 17-year-old suspect, who police say confessed to the crime Sunday, said the boys were bored and “they just wanted to see [someone] die, or kill someone,” Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford said . .

That’s 16 year-old Chancey Luna on the left, 15 year-old James Edwards, the alleged shooter, center, and 17 year-old Michael Jones on the right. Luna is black, Edwards is probably too, but Jones is not. I need to point it out for contrast because conservatives are sure of one thing: This isn’t random violence. This is racism. The National Review has got the goods:

Three Black Teens Kill White College Student; Racial Grievance Industry Silent

At the same time, the Review is unclear on what qualities belong to which race. But they somehow settled on the victim being white. And other than that, does it really matter? No: “Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson: call your office.” Presumably those two can arrange a meeting with Jones’ parents. Thank you both for being Caucasian. Or, thanks at least for raising a dangerous white inferiorist. Bill Buckley’s race pimps were not the only ones, Jammie Wearing Fools:

Three Teens Who Could Look Like Obama’s Son Murder Australian Man, NRA Gets Blamed

Maybe the President had an affair in 1995 with a 10 million candlepower lighthouse. Maybe Johnny Winter has a niece who can keep a secret. There has to be an explanation. As with everything else Obama, it’s all mysterious and very likely. But first a complaint:

Update: Some asshole from The Atlantic figured this would be a good time to take potshots at Oklahoma’s Republican senators while not even mentioning the names of the suspects or the racial aspect to the story. Of course!

Jammie was incensed that The Atlantic’s Steve Clemons pointed out how Oklahoma favors giving guns rather than jobs to teenagers. I don’t want to be similarly such an asshole, so I’ll do whatever Jammie likes. AHEM the skin-colors of the teenage thugs were as follows: black and brown and white. The lack of melanin on the part of some participants shouldn’t mar a hate crime. Right.

Oklahoma: Three Black Teens Murder White Australian Baseball Player Because They Were “Bored”

Weasels Zippers and wrong. Can we get a witness? Or something close?

Chief Ford said yesterday the attack was not racially motivated.

“It was just three clowns who got together and decided to kill,” he said.

Everybody straight with that? Three teens of various colors “got together and decided to kill.” Which is not remotely “Three Oklahoma Mau-Maus while adjourning a tribal meeting and shouting boombah yeh’ ate a passing jogger.” Not that any of these race referees cares. The Daily Caller:

Black teens in Oklahoma murder white Australian jogger for sport

The Examiner.com:

Black teens in Oklahoma shoot white man to death ‘for kicks’

World Net Daily:

POLICE: BLACK TEENS KILL WHITE MAN ‘FOR FUN’

It’s an Historic Race Crime. I assume Myrlie Evers-Williams still lives in Oregon so organizing a march will take a week, maybe more. To remind ourselves, again . .

It comes a day after Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford said he had secured the confession of Jones who had summoned investigators to his jail cell and claimed they were bored “so they decided to kill somebody”.

Chief Ford said the teens had no motive other than to ”make a name for themselves”.

Not like “after making a vow to drive the white man from Duncan, Oklahoma.” That’s the sort of thing that used to happen, in all sorts of places in America. Except that it happened to blacks. Judging by the smoldering resentments, we may have mistaken the real victims of the Trayvon Martin shooting – or of at least the controversy. And now this last bit, it’s a special bonus. After an angry Aussie politician spoke out . .

Australians could help force the United States’ hand on gun control laws by not taking holidays there in response to the tragic death of Australian baseball player Chris Lane, says former Deputy Prime Minister Tim Fischer.

Lane, 22, was shot dead while jogging in Duncan, Oklahoma, on Friday. Fischer, who was a leading force behind John Howard’s renowned gun reforms in 1996, said he was “deeply angry” about the loss of Lane.

“Tourists thinking of going to the USA should think twice,” Fischer said. “This is the bitter harvest and legacy of the policies of the NRA that even blocked background checks for people buying guns at gunshows.

. . what did conservatives make of his comments? This:

Australians told to boycott US after black teens kill white man ‘for fun’
Biz Pac Review | August 20, 2013 | Janeen Capizola

After three Oklahoma teens senselessly shot and killed rising college baseball star Chris Lane last week simply “just for fun,” Australia’s former deputy prime minister Tim Fischer has called for tourists to boycott the U.S.

It’s as if nothing may be allowed to spoil their perfect killing. All the tangents of the brutality either line up nicely for them or they just close their eyes.

Even when Richard Cohen’s a racist, he’s a joke

ops and eds

I can’t believe how much time I’ve spent parsing this “On the issue of racism I’m more or less a centrist” editorial of Richard Cohen’s currently dropping jaws across the internet. I’m not about to indulge him, or his dimwitted attempt to shake up what he believes is America’s too-polite racial politics [Mr. Cohen? Can I get you a seat near the window?], but I really do want to understand what he’s trying to get at. So here goes:

I don’t like what George Zimmerman did, and I hate that Trayvon Martin is dead. But I also can understand why Zimmerman was suspicious and why he thought Martin was wearing a uniform we all recognize.

If it’s something ‘we all recognize’, it must be true. So is Cohen saying we can tell a criminal by his clothes?

But I’m tired of politicians and others who have donned hoodies in solidarity with Martin and who essentially suggest that, for recognizing the reality of urban crime in the United States, I am a racist. The hoodie blinds them as much as it did Zimmerman.

Yes, he is. Criminals do like to wear hoodies. That’s how poor George Zimmerman recognized the ‘uniform’ yet knew nothing of Martin’s literal underlying innocence. On the other hand, it was politicians who remained willfully ‘blind’ to this:

. . the public knows young black males commit a disproportionate amount of crime. In New York City, blacks make up a quarter of the population, yet they represent 78 percent of all shooting suspects — almost all of them young men.

Black kids do like to commit crimes. So, to sum up:

The result was a quintessentially American tragedy — the death of a young man understandably suspected because he was black and tragically dead for the same reason.

. . that’s just how the dominoes fell. </cohen>

For many Americans, the tragedy came about because George Zimmerman made dangerous assumptions based on someone's appearance. For Richard, it happened once Zimmerman made realistic assumptions for the same reasons. Or, in shorter fashion, it was Trayvon's fault.

The New Black Panthers’ growing influence over conservative thought

attack of the wuss, propaganda, race

Now that the verdict’s been handed down and the face palming, for the most part, is over the hard questions linger. Chief among them: How did we get here? How did a man manage to profile a 17 year-old neighborhood kid and then kill him without any legal consequences?

Ta-Nehisi Coates I think has the best answer. Frankly it’s a good one because it mirrors my own thinking and I have a blog. This has to do with the manner in which Stand Your Ground has polluted the legal environment.

Effectively, I can bait you into a fight and if I start losing I can can legally kill you, provided I “believe” myself to be subject to “great bodily harm.” It is then the state’s job to prove — beyond a reasonable doubt — that I either did not actually fear for my life, or my fear was unreasonable.

And how in the world does the state prove that? With difficulty. A psychic, maybe. Unless of course there are some terrific eyewitnesses. The best witness, really, being the – oh right he’s dead. A seance? Stand Your Ground legal reasoning happens to construct murder trials that are meant to be won. You might remember this the next time you get into a nasty fight. Remain calm, murder the other guy. Tell the police very little, and you should come out alright.

Of course there are other theories about our legal shambles.

If the head is split, you must acquit.

This is radio host Carl Boyd jr.

The George Zimmerman case was forced to court from day one when President Obama interjected himself in it . . Then came the race-baiters Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Black Panther Party proclaiming Zimmerman killed Trayvon because he was black. What about the evidence?

Naw, there was never a legal case here. No one even cared about this one little killing until the New Black Panthers got involved. I lay the blame for this fiasco at their dusky feet.

Like the racially-charged sham prosecution of the Duke lacrosse team, the racially charged prosecution of George Zimmerman was partly triggered by the threats of Malik Zulu Shabazz, the head of the racist and anti-Semitic New Black Panther Party.

Satanizing the miniscule Panther group happens to be J. Christian Adams’ life calling.

Shabazz is also the same defendant that Attorney General Eric Holder and his Justice Department cut loose from the voter intimidation case of United States v. New Black Panther Party, a case I prosecuted . .

After Trayvon Martin was killed, Shabazz took his act on the road to Sanford, Florida.

There, Shabazz used threats of mob violence, as he did in Durham, North Carolina, to cause Sanford law enforcement to tremble and to act.

The hands of the Sanford police department shook so badly they couldn’t even fill out the paperwork on Zimmerman’s indictment. Couldn’t even close the door on his cell. It took a Florida State Attorney, and a few Xanax, before George could be charged and brought to trial. The Nuge:

The race-baiting industry saw an opportunity to further the racist careers of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Black Panthers, President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, et al, who then swept down on the Florida community refusing to admit that the 17-year-old dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe Trayvon Martin was at all responsible for his bad decisions and standard modus operendi of always taking the violent route.

Don’t snark at Ted because he can’t spell ‘operandi’. Cat Scratch Fever goes from ‘A’ to ‘B’ to ‘C’ and that’s as far as it gets. The gobbledygook is a phrase of Latin, and please remember: there are no italics in Kick Ass Guitar.

With an obvious racist chip on his shoulder, referencing the neighborhood watch guy as a “creepy ass cracker” to his fellow racist female friend who admitted under oath that that is how non-blacks are referred to normally in their circles, Trayvon had no reason not to attack, because it was the standard thug thing to do.

Yes, thugs, with ‘their circles’ and ‘things’. Which brings us right back to today:

Roslyn Brock from the NAACP—who by the way, at their meeting this morning, the chatter at breakfast is there’s now 100,000 signatures on the DOJ petition. Well, the petition’s great for raising the roof, if you will, on what they want.

But in reality – where is the Justice Department and their actions on this? . . They have a conflict now. Their Community Relations Unit…went down there and spent money, taxpayer dollars, to fund rallies or facilitate rallies against Zimmerman. That’s picking a side.

Tea Party radio guy David Webb riffing post-acquittal. He’s talking about the possibility of a civil rights case being brought against Zimmerman, as well as referencing a debunked anti-Zimmerman conspiracy theory. They fit together nicely, don’t they?

Now the DOJ should really be looking inside and saying, “Are we doing the right thing?” Will Holder do that? I doubt it. Let’s see how he acts with the New Black Panther Party on this.

Bullseye. Thugs never quit. It’s the same lesson from the shooting.

Zimmerman found not guilty

insane

Breaking, unfortunately:

A Florida jury on Saturday found George Zimmerman not guilty in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, in a case that sparked a national debate on race and guns.

The panel of six women, which was sequestered, deliberated more than 16 hours over two days until nearly 10 p.m. on Saturday (0200 GMT Sunday).

Zimmerman appeared stoned-faced as the verdict was announced, but then showed a slight smile of relief. His parents embraced each other and his wife was tearful.

Unbelievable.

Demonstrators exclaimed disbelief, one by one, as they learned on their phones Saturday night that George Zimmerman was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin.

At 10:02 p.m. ET “Justice for Trayvon!” chants erupted from fist-waving people at the fountain across from the courthouse.

“The system has failed!” irate demonstrators started chanting.

The waiting game under way for the hundreds of protesters anticipating a verdict outside the Seminole County Criminal Justice Center was finally over.

Nina Mays of Tulsa, Okla., was outraged by the verdict.

“This is going to impact a lot of people in a lot of different places,” Mays said minutes after the announcement., standing a few yards from chanting protesters.

“How is the law different for one and not for the other? Trayvon was standing his ground when Zimmerman came and messed with him, a young man coming from the store,” she said.

That’s a good question. How can the law be different for different people? It always has been, I suppose. It still is.

Of course:

And race was nowhere to be found in this case, though it loiters conspicuously on Twitter.

Security cop mishandles gun, shoots student at Aurora high school

you got a real purty barrel

Rangeview High School in Aurora, Colorado:

About an hour after school let out for the day, the student was getting a ride home from a school employee who also works a second job as an armed security officer, according to police. The employee was trying to put his gun into the glove box of the car when the weapon fired, hitting the student in the leg.

The man drove the student to a nearby hospital, arriving around 4:30 p.m., police said. The student was rushed into surgery with what police described as a “significant injury” to his leg.

Consider this: Though only about 35-40% of America own guns, we have almost as many guns as people. Almost 300 million firearms.

If we can’t cut down on this menace to civilization, can’t we cut down on the negligence? Can’t we foster some responsibility?

Because this is endemic violence by another name. It’s murder by stupid. And this needs to be stopped. This has to be punished. Your weapon misfires in public by any means, you go to prison. For 6 months. If it misfires within 100 yards of children, 12 months in lockup. If it misfires and hits someone, 5 years in jail. I’ll be much more tolerant of the N.R.A. after the penitentiaries start loading up with their yahoos.

It’s about time we figured out whether the Good Guys With Guns are really all that good. The word also means “adept.” You carry a killing machine into the public realm, the law puts you on the hook. It’s only right.

Right-wingers up to their same old tricks: whining, mayhem and murder

attack of the wuss, blood reign o'er thee

On the front page here, five months ago:

Arch-conservatives continue their banner August. In the first week of the month unemployed white supremacist Wade Page shot and killed six Sikhs at a temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. In week two unemployed gun nut and Palin/Beck/O’Reilly fan Thomas Caffall killed two people, one a constable, in College Station, Texas. Also in week two a group of barely-employed “sovereign citizens” and their girlfriends shot four Louisiana deputies in and around St. John the Baptist Parish, killing two.

Then four soldiers who planned a shooting spree (and a presidential assassination) were arrested before they could do any harm. Still: Ten dead and more wounded as the American right-wing made its presence known throughout August 2012. A hell of a month for the wingnuts.

The violence wasn’t that surprising. A 2009 Deparment of Homeland Security report predicted home-grown terrorism would likely emanate from the ultra-conservative crowd. As much as Michelle Malkin screamed about the conclusions, the report ended up being perfectly accurate. A trail of corpses proved how dangerous the far right-wing really were.

Which brings us to Monday. And the butthurts at the Daily Caller:

Army should fire author of report on conservative terrorism
Bill Wilson | President, Americans for Limited Government

. . the report warns of the rising militancy of so-called “anti-federalists” — or Americans who embrace radical notions like “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.” In other words, anyone expressing support for the fundamental democratic ideals upon which our nation was founded could be a terrorist.

According to [Dr. Arie] Perliger, these “anti-federalists” are dangerous because they “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights.”

Wait — government isn’t corrupt? And warrantless wiretaps, forced participation in a Social Security Ponzi scheme and Barack Obama’s health insurance mandate aren’t intrusions on our liberties?

It’s deja vu. And this is today, right now, this very hour and minute:

The man who ignited a hostage standoff in southern Alabama when he shot a bus driver and took a child into an underground bunker is a “survivalist” who has ties to the antigovernment movement, an official with the Dale County Sheriff’s Office told Hatewatch this morning.

The gunman is identified as Jimmy Lee Dykes, 65, a Vietnam veteran. On Tuesday afternoon, Dykes allegedly stormed into a school bus in Midland City, Ala., shooting the bus driver four times with a 9 mm pistol before taking a child to an underground bunker behind his home. The bus driver, identified as 66-year-old Charles Poland Jr., later died.

Tim Byrd, chief investigator with the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, told Hatewatch that Dykes had “anti-America” views. “His friends and his neighbors stated that he did not trust the government, that he was a Vietnam vet, and that he had PTSD,” Byrd said. “He was standoffish, didn’t socialize or have any contact with anybody. He was a survivalist type.”

Jimmy Lee Dykes is still holding the six year-old boy hostage and the police at bay.

Gina Miller misunderstands the ‘Shorter’

shorter, wingnuts

Gina Miller comes across a 2012 post featuring her and she doesn’t like it:

False Reporting on your site

I stumbled on a false quote attributed to me on the Sick Horses site, and I demand this be removed from your site: http://sickhorses.com/2012/03/29/gina-miller-trayvon-martin-came-from-a-sub-culture/

This ignorant misquote completely takes the meaning of my column out of context and attributes to it words I never wrote that are mixed in with words I did write–not to mention the Photoshopped image of my picture and Trayvon Martin’s image.

I never said, “It’s no surprise somebody shot Trayvon Martin.” NEVER. And, the rest of my words in the quote are doctored with other words that were not in my piece.

Delete this post immediately.

Gina Miller

Here is the offending material:

Pictured (l to r): elegant & eloquent, ugly & unintelligible

Shorter Gina Miller, Renew America:

“It’s no surprise somebody shot Trayvon Martin. Black people have become a sub-culture that glorifies incoherent music, anti-social behavior, despicable dress, and even its own unintelligible speech.”

Alright Gina. Let me explain the concept of the ‘Shorter.’ This is where I read something awful written by you and I do my best to understand what it is you’re trying to say. Then I compose a spirited synopsis and post it on my site. While it may look AS IF you had written it, the readers are aware that I have not in fact quoted you. Quoting the bloggers of Renew America is really not very funny. It is traditionally appalling. In the rare instance where I do quote somebody in a ‘Shorter,’ I make it clear. Like:

Pictured (l to r): geh basher, feh slasher

Shorter Verbatim Gina Miller, Renew America:

“America’s foundation is hanging by a thread, and the homo-radicals are wielding hell-sharpened scissors.”

See? I crossed out ‘Shorter.’ Because you wrote:

The militant homosexual campaign against our society is one that seeks to destroy the Christian moral foundation upon which this nation was built. That foundation is hanging by a thread, and the homo-radicals are wielding hell-sharpened scissors.

In all of these ‘Shorter’ posts (see here) I provide a link back to the source. This would be a silly gesture were I aiming to misrepresent anybody. And by now you should know I am not a “reporter,” I do not do “reporting.” So I am quite journalistic-ally unrestrained in offering my obnoxious opinions regarding your obnoxious opinions.

Now to particulars: I believe I did a pretty fair job in representing your reaction to the Martin murder. In “Trayvon mania highlights diseased culture of the left,” you began this way:

The ignorant, irrational mania being stoked by the black race hustlers in the wake of the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin is disgusting.

Call me crazy, irrational and pushed around by “black race hustlers” will you? I don’t think so. And usually standing in opposition to your targets, were you of sensible mania? Your mangled screed went on like this, denying that there were good reasons to be angered by the blasting of an unarmed teenager. This was disgusting:

Today, we see far too many young, black people — and “white” people, too — who are facing a bleak future, because they have chosen to become a sub-culture of America — a sub-culture that glorifies violent, incoherent “music,” anti-social behavior and despicable dress, and even its own unintelligible speech. How can many of these kids of today expect to be accepted and propelled ahead in the workforce when they insist on rejecting something so simple as proper dress and behavior?

No one appreciates being called a “sub-culture,” so you can go to hell. You were also insinuating that Martin and his ilk comprise a national Untermenschen incapable of behavioral norms and common decency, and that this is what understandably precipitates their deaths. I don’t know why people like you exist in the world. Have you ever thought of disappearing? You might find it refreshing.

So I mock you for being callous and indecent. That’s what the blog is for. What’s your blog for? Misanthropy? Just guessing.

You pawn the kids off on Mr. Death

fancy thinkin'

I don’t envy you parents given the questions your kids might have about the Sandy Hook massacre. What would you do? I have no idea, run fast I guess. Why did he do it? He’s crazy I suppose. I know that doesn’t help. I’m not a survivalist, I just don’t think about these things. It hurts to think about it.

Michelle Malkin however thinks about these things. How else to explain all the clever suggestions? The National Review with the goods:

These seven simple commonsense steps are adapted from a post I published on my blog after the horrific Newtown massacre. Our hearts ache, but we are not completely helpless or hopeless in the face of evil and the unknown. And we are not alone. This Christmas, cherish life, keep faith, and practice self empowerment.

Fine by me. Put our heads together and come up with a plan. Michelle takes the lead:

7. Teach our kids about the acts of heroes in times of crisis . .

6. Train our kids. When they see something troublesome or wrong, they should say something . .

5. Limit our kids’ time online and control their exposure to desensitizing cultural influences. Turn off the TV. Get them off the bloody video games . .

4. If you see a parent struggling with an out-of-control child, don’t look the other way . .

Dear, these are not very helpful. I don’t imagine my walking up to a parent and offering to wrestle their kid will be either a welcome or practical act. Oh but wait here comes the top sensible thing:

1. Teach our kids to value and respect life by valuing and respecting them always.

How semi-literate. And hypocritical, remember this?

RIVERSIDE, California (AFP) — A former US Marine was acquitted of manslaughter here Thursday in the shooting deaths of four unarmed Iraqi prisoners during 2004 fighting in Fallujah.

Jose Luis Nazario, 28, was found not guilty of all charges after a landmark trial at the US District Court in Riverside, southeast of Los Angeles . .

Nazario was alleged to have shot dead two of the captives himself before ordering two subordinates to kill the others.

However the prosecution’s case was weakened after the two other Marines implicated in the killings — Jermaine Nelson and Ryan Weemer — refused to testify against Nazario last week and were declared in contempt of court.

Here was Michelle, triumphant:

This won’t be on the front page of the NYTimes.

Justice for former US Marine Jose Luis Nazario.

It was justice when Jose’s subordinates refused to testify how he shot and killed unarmed prisoners. Malkin-justice. Roughly translated: Wear a uniform, kill as you like. Michelle’s respect for life is no match for her sadism. Here’s the unabridged Malkin Number One brilliant suggestion:

1. Teach our kids to value and respect life by valuing and respecting them always. And in loving and valuing life, teach them also not to fear death.

In loving and valuing life teach children to welcome death. Huh?

The Catholic hymn “Be Not Afraid” offers time-tested solace and sage advice:

If you pass through raging waters, in the sea, you shall not drown.

If you walk amidst the burning flames, you shall not be harmed.

If you stand before the pow’r of hell and death is at your side…

You would do this to children? With all these little corpses laying around? Don’t be afraid honey oh yes you certainly will die. Raging floods and burning flames and hunters come with machine guns, fine! Why not! There’s got to be a better time for talk about death. The Sandusky trial no doubt turned the Malkin dinner table into a comedy club with routines on the weakness of the flesh, buttsex with Lot’s pals, etc.

Nation running out of ammo
Posted by William A. Jacobson Friday, December 28

Reaction to threats by Senator Dianne Feinstein and others to ban certain weapons and serverely [sic] restrict ownership of guns generally has caused a run on gun stores, as is widely reported.

Less reported is the run on ammunition, leaving ammunition inventories down 93% since election day.

How will my attorney militia depose the government? Without bullets? Atomic rockets don’t just get shot and explode themselves, mister.

“Ammunition Stock levels have fallen by more than 90% from the pre-Election Day levels. Less than 10% remains available. Available Ammunition links will be updated throughout the day.

Handguns are down by 80%, Long Guns by 63% for an overall 72.2% reduction in firearms inventories.

AR pattern rifles are becoming particularly difficult to source.”

No one with a bazooka has ever been shot before

we should listen to these people

Hail Assrocket the genius:

Within the realm of constitutional options, the most practical remedy I can think of would be to require that a certain number of teachers or administrators in each school be trained in the use of firearms and armed at all times. That would probably deter most school shooters. It is curious, but true, that even those killers who do not intend to survive their crimes never seem to open fire in the presence of another armed person. No one tries to shoot up a biker bar.

No one does that, except for the 3.2% of America who have shot up a biker bar, gotten shot shooting up a biker bar, or plan tonight to shoot up your favorite biker bar some time after how’s midnight with you? Still, it’s central to his point. A shooter won’t shoot you if you have a gun.

CLEMENTON, NJ (CBS) — Police and rescue crews responded to the Gloucester County Municipal Building on Chews Landing Road this morning after shots were fired inside the Gloucester Township police station . .

Three officers were reportedly injured, including at least one who was shot just below his bulletproof vest. He is said to be in stable condition after undergoing surgery.

No it doesn’t happen.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — A man killed Sunday in a shootout at a suburban Detroit police headquarters first tried to shoot an officer behind bulletproof glass before officers exchanged gunfire with him, police said . .

Police Chief Eric Hawkins said investigators were trying to figure out why the gunman carried out the attack. The 64-year-old man had no known grievance with police.

“He didn’t say anything,” Hawkins said at a news conference. “The officers said he had a blank stare on his face.”

Why it never happens.

You really had me going Mister Government Spree Killer

whacko

About Short Little Rebel:

Susan Shannon, author of Short Little Rebel, uses Bible Scripture and God’s inspiration to analyze both national & international news. Susan believes that the end times are upon us.

URGENT UPDATE on the Connecticut Shooting:

He was too mentally ill to have gotten those weapons himself. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and we now know that he had many, many interventions by school officials in the past. I felt that the killing of little children would be the strongest argument yet that we should clamp down on gun ownership. I just couldn’t believe the TIMING and circumstances of this event- a GIFT to the Progressives to disarm us. Who can argue with this case?

Darn. But then an e-mail came.

. . a friend sent me the following links which tell a different story. Having reported the event LIVE and experienced the changing information, I am not surprised. In fact, it makes sense now.

Sooo.

Friends. I believe there is evidence of more than one shooter. I believe this was a PLANNED event- specifically to get the UN Small Arms Treaty signed. The father of the shooter is Peter Lanza, rumored to be scheduled to testify on the international LIBOR scandal. Guess who else is rumored to be scheduled to testify on the LIBOR scandal? Father of the BATMAN theater shooter.

That’s why . .

. . I believe our GOVERNMENT shot those kids and teachers and used Adam Lanza and his family to pull it off. They might have killed two birds with one stone. One: If these men are involved in the LIBOR scandal, they can manipulate their testimony. Two: they get gun control. How very, very clever and efficient of them, right?

The Princess Cruise liner came in without a scratch

fancy thinkin'

In the dismal aftermath of the Sandy Hook shootings (and while death hangs in the air isn’t it fun to read what wingnuts think?), look who has put their heads together and come up with “Newtown Answers.” Nobody. But some folks less than sane and more than arrogant updated their website, so we’re left with the National Review.

By way of an “NRO Symposium” — traditionally a shipboard shrimp eating contest suspended mid-way to pry Pantload’s half-eaten hand from his gob — the Review staff claims it has solved American spree-killing. So this will be all wrong. I’ve gotten as far as the first ‘Answer,’ and here it is from Charlotte Allen:

There was not a single adult male on the school premises when the shooting occurred. In this school of 450 students, a sizeable number of whom were undoubtedly 11- and 12-year-old boys (it was a K–6 school), all the personnel — the teachers, the principal, the assistant principal, the school psychologist, the “reading specialist” — were female. There didn’t even seem to be a male janitor to heave his bucket at Adam Lanza’s knees. Women and small children are sitting ducks for mass-murderers . . in general, a feminized setting is a setting in which helpless passivity is the norm.

There go two problems. Women and children. You can’t count on them to offer better than kindness, caring and love when faced with a mass murderer. Let’s remember that Adam Lanza is on his way because killers are always on their way as this is America [someone might wanna take a look at this place --ed.]. You can get some chimpanzee chaperones, or you can fight back:

There are things you can do. Run is one of them, because most shooters can’t hit a moving target. The other, if you are in a confined space, is throw things at the killer, or try a tackle.

Throw a crayon at Adam. Or a kite if it’s handy. Then after taking 49 headshots, tell yourself “Oooh Mr. Adam. What a tackle I’ll give you.” And then you give him everything you’ve got.
