In March, 2002, Bishop walked into an International House of Pancakes in Peabody with her family, asked for a booster seat for one of her children, and learned the last seat had gone to another mother.

Bishop, according to a police report, strode over to the other woman, demanded the seat and launched into a profanity-laced rant.

When the woman would not give the seat up, Bishop punched her in the head, all the while yelling “I am Dr. Amy Bishop.”

Amy Bishop Killed Minorities: Leftists Silent on ‘Racist’ Rampage . .

I just noticed something about the Amy Bishop case: Her victims were minorities. From left to right at the photo: Dr. Adriel Johnson Sr., Dr. Gopi Podila, and Dr. Maria Davis.

This is really something: . . add on top of this the fact that the premeditation included the planned killings of three non-white colleages and this really should be explosive for the radical multiculturalists . . perish the thought that Bishop’s motive could have been racism? Maybe Harvard-trained left-wing professors get a pass on that . .

Only with the hyperventilating, clueless right-wing is racism obvious absent intention. The same people who only hours earlier were going on about her leftist “obsession” with The One, Obama, are now saying she was a violent racist.

And how many “racist” liberals would favor censure of the school president over implementation of policies reducing campus diversity?

Last fall Dr. Bishop was quoted as opposing the UAH administration’s policy requiring all freshmen to live on campus . .

The UAH Faculty Senate will consider a vote of censure against President Dr. David Williams next month because of issues surrounding the policy, which senators say makes UAH less affordable and less competitive.

“It will generate a different economic strata and diversity,” assistant professor of biology Dr. Amy Bishop said during last week’s faculty senate meeting.

Nonetheless, blogger Donald Douglas at American Power continues down this blind alley:

“AND MORE: See also the first-hand report from Professor Joseph Ng, a former UC Irvine student, who witnessed the murders. Ng confirms Amy Bishop’s premeditation and potentially racist motivations. Ng is a Chinese surname. I’ll need more information, but so far one-fourth of those at the tenure meeting were ethnic minorities.”

Douglas has posted pics of 3 of the “minorities” shot, Cruz-Vera is a fourth, and he’s about to quote the unscathed Ng, a fifth, who relates there were 11 people and Bishop at the meeting. Brilliant.

“I’ll update later, but it very well could be that Amy Bishop was disgruntled because ‘quota hires’ were denying her tenure. Perhaps the lady was ‘white trash’ and never quite broke out into the more supposedely (sic) refined strata of the faculty elite (or, more likely, they’re all like that). We were 12 all together (including the shooter) sitting around an oval table in a modest size conference room . There were only one door to enter/exit. The shooter was a disgruntled faculty member who didn’t get tenured after several appeals and a law suit. About 30min into the meeting, she got up suddenly, took out a gun and started shooting at each one of us. She started with the one closest to her and went down the row shooting her targets in the head. Our chairman got it the worst as he was right next to her along with two others who died almost instantly.

That’s almost like an assembly line, Che Guevara-ish in fact, or Taliban-ish.

Well, if she’s going to shoot every member in the faculty meeting, “like an assembly line,” she’s a racist. Thankfully, Joseph Ng wasn’t sitting any closer.

“A family source said Bishop, a mother of four children – the youngest a third-grade boy – was a far-left political extremist who was ‘obsessed’ with President Obama to the point of being off-putting.”

Sure, there are three dead people — but she was a liberal!

Obama Weighs In On Amy Bishop Case

According to sources, Obama has ordered the drafting of a brief statement after learning of Amy Bishop’s possible involvement in a failed bombing attempt directed at a former Harvard supervisor.

“Ms. Bishop is being placed on the short-list for any senior openings at the NIH. We can no longer allow a lack of opportunity to fuel terrorism here at home, or around the world.”

The WH is said to view the Bishop case as win win for them. It bolsters Obama’s terror fighting credentials, while relying on outside organizations to conduct a WH vetting process that has caused controversy in the past. Obama’s chief regret is said to be his not having learned of Bishop prior to appointing Surgeon General, Dr. Regina Benjamin.

She was charged with one count of capital murder, Huntsville Police Sgt. Mark Roberts said. “There will be additional charges,” he said…

The tragedy took an even eerier turn Saturday when it was reported that Bishop had shot and killed her teenage brother, Seth Bishop, in 1986 in Braintree, Mass. And late Sunday, The Boston Globe reported that Bishop was a suspect in the attempted mail bombing of a Harvard Medical School professor, Paul Rosenberg, in 1993. No one was charged in the incident.

So, would you have charged her in the brother’s killing if you knew she tried to commandeer a car and flee?

A former auto-body worker claims Amy Bishop put a gun to his chest and demanded a getaway car just minutes after she shot her brother to death 24 years ago in a controversial case that is now being reviewed…

[Tom] Pettigrew said he heard noise coming from where car keys are stored, so he went to investigate.

“I go over to the door and I can sense that she’s right near the door,” Pettigrew said. “I’m thinking it’s a BB gun. I open the door and she’s right there and we basically bumped into each other and I got a shotgun right in my chest!”

“And she’s like, ‘Hands up!’ and I’m like, ‘Yes ma’am’ ”

Bishop appeared agitated and nervous, Pettigrew said. The University of Alabama professor now accused of killing three colleagues Friday said she needed a car because, “I got into a fight with my husband and he’s going to kill me,” the worker recalled.

Pettigrew then watched as Bishop walked through the dealership looking at cars, all the while grasping the gun.

The professor who is accused of killing three colleagues at the University of Alabama on Friday was a suspect in the attempted mail bombing of a Harvard Medical School professor in 1993, a law enforcement official said today.

Amy Bishop and her husband, James Anderson, were questioned after a package containing two bombs was sent to the Newton home of Dr. Paul Rosenberg, a professor and doctor at Boston’s Children’s Hospital.
